Soup D'Jour

I love fall. I love eating soup in the fall. I'll love eating roasted red pepper and gouda soup this fall. Here's the recipe:

2 tablespoons butter
4 red bell peppers, chopped
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
24 fluid ounces chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 cups shredded gouda cheese

Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
1.Place the red bell pepper, onion and garlic in the saucepan and saute for 15 to 20 minutes, or until tender.
2.Pour in the chicken broth, stirring well, reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
3.Transfer to a blender and puree until smooth.
4.Return the liquid to the saucepan over medium low heat. Stir in the heavy cream, the ground black pepper and cheese, and allow to heat through, about 5 to 10 minutes. Serves 4 – 6.

Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors

Have you been wondering where I've been? I spent the weekend at Windy Gap outside Asheville with these two.

They are wonderful as is their music...check them out and buy their music on iTunes.

Still not convinced?

1. This song was featured on 'Parenthood' this season...its not just my great taste in music, lost of other people love them too.

2. That's where they come from they're both Tennessee-eens.

3. They are cute as a button...a little ahead of the season, but check out their version of 'Baby Its Cold Outside.'

4. I love Drew's beard.

Thymes Kimono Rose Cologne Rollerball

I've always prided myself on having a 'signature sent' but I had to steal this one once I discovered the rollerball.

Here's the description from the Thymes website:

Quotes of the Week

"You seem to be acting like a Lindsay Lohan wannabe. Going through life rude, profane, obnoxious and self-indulgent is not the way you want to go through life."
– Presiding Judge Damian Murray to Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi on her recent disorderly conduct arrest, at her court appearance

"All of the kids... I lined 'em up on the trailers and said 'Alright, I wanna know who's banging who, right now! Tell me. Who, who, who?'"
– Glee guest star John Stamos, on trying to dig up dirt on his new castmates, to Extra

During a visit to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Thursday, the Resident Evil: Afterlife actress was greeted with gifts for her upcoming arrival — but had to choose between a pink or blue onesie.

“Ohhhh! I was trying to keep it private … but we’re having a boy!” Larter, who’s expecting her first child with husband Hayes MacArthur, cheered. “I have a little penis inside of me!”

In response, Fallon couldn’t help but throw out a running Office joke, quipping, “That’s what she said!”

False Alarm

Robert Pattinson is NOT going to be on the Entourage season finale, but he was in Texas this week. Where were you on this one D? I expect you to be on top of all things Texas (that's what she said).

Grey's Anatomy Spoiler

After surviving the shooter rampage that claimed the lives of two doctors at Seattle Grace Hospital on the season finale of Grey’s Anatomy, Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Owen (Kevin McKidd) realize that life is too precious — and will tie the knot during the show’s Sept. 23 premiere on ABC.

“It’s very surprising,” Oh tells PEOPLE. “Hopefully it will make sense [to viewers]. After something as obliterating as the shooter comes in, when push comes to shove Owen says, ‘I want to spend my life with you.’ It’s almost clearer and easier to make that decision.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time Cristina was about to say “I do.” In season 3, she and Burke (Isaiah Washington) nearly tied the knot. But in the end he backed out, leaving her heartbroken in her wedding dress.

Things are very different this time around. “When she was about to marry Burke many of the decisions weren’t really hers,” Oh says. “She never wanted to get married or wear ‘the dress.’ Having a much more relaxed and casual wedding is closer to who she and Owen are.”

The happy occasion was well-received by all the actors on the set of Grey’s, but perhaps not for the reasons you’d expect. Says Oh, “I think people were more happy and giddy not to be wearing scrubs.”

Anthropologie Items of the Week

Here are this weeks's picks:

This one is for a BFF...she likes to have a sexy party dress to wear to holiday parties, but doesn't like really girly stuff...this one is perfect for her.

This one is going to be my Knoxville Mumford look...I'll look effortlessly chic in it, not like I'm trying so hard I had the whole look mapped out two months in advance.

Must See Movie Alert

Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper will soon share more than rugged good looks. They'll split top billing on a buddy movie that's being described as an edgier, R-rated version of the Lethal Weapon series.

I don't care what kind of reviews this movies gets, with the two of them in it I will def be seeing it.

Can I Have Your Sock?

Here's the scoop on Bradley Cooper's visit to Georgetown last week...it sounds pretty hilar.

The actor, 35, a 1997 Georgetown grad, described his euphoria upon visiting the college as a high-school student. "I swear to God, Socrates was teaching in the corner, and there were tons of Frisbees and Golden Retrievers. All the women were from California," he said. "And then I got rejected."

The star of Wedding Crashers and The Hangover exhorted students not to be afraid of failure. "Just fall on your face," he said. "Who cares? Really, it's the only way you're going to learn. God help you if you never fail."

For their part, the students were more interested in the heartthrob actor's personal effects than his professional experience. According to student newspaper the Hoya, one student asked for, and received, his water bottle. Another asked him to take off his shirt. Cooper, who is dating Renée Zellweger, declined. So, the student asked for a sock instead.

He politely turned down one student's request for him to escort her to the school's Diplomatic Ball next spring. And when another stepped to the podium, she prefaced her question by simply declaring: "I just want to say that you're the most gorgeous man on earth."

Eclipse Release Date

The Eclipse DVD comes out December 4th...mark your calendars!!!

It will feature commentary by KStew and Rob...I'm sure she will be totally awkward and he will be charming.
