The Shore Kids Are Headed to Italy!
How do you say "gym, tan, laundry" in Italian?
The cast of Jersey Shore is heading to Italy for season 4 of MTV's hit show, the network announced Tuesday.
"While the stateside Jersey Shore locales have become iconic for our audience ... Europe is a fresh spin on a show that continues to reach new heights for us," MTV's Chris Linn said in a statement. "The cast is headed to the birthplace of the culture they love and live by. We can't wait to see what erupts as a result."
Amid their inevitable shenanigans, the gang – which in season 3 includes Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Paul "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio, Jenni "JWOWW" Farley, Vinnie Guadagnino, Ronnie Magro, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola – will leave "the boardwalk behind for the piazzas," "trade gorillas for Italian stallions" and, according to the statement, drop in on Vinny's Italian relatives for a famous Guadagnino family dinner.
"Ohh I Love Italy This Time A Yeahhh," Pauly D Tweeted Tuesday.
Adds Snooki: "Just heard the most amazing news!"
With a whole new country before them where they can create embarrassing moments, one thing we'd love to see is how The Situation's abs stack up compared to the classic competition of Michelangelo's statue of David, on display in Florence.
The next season is set to begin production in the spring in Europe and will air later this year, MTV says.

I Will F-ing Attack You Like a Squirrel Monkey
When Snooki speaks, you never know what she's going to say, even if you can safely bet on a bleep or two. Such was the case on Thursday's season 3 premiere of Jersey Shore, when she entered the fray that was already underway between her costar Sammi and new roommate Deena.
Siding with Deena, who's her longtime friend, Snooki warned Sammi, "You don't want to piss off Deena like that, because even though we're tiny b––es, I don't give a s––. I will f––ing attack you like a squirrel monkey."
While squirrel monkeys (Saimiri sciureus) are not particularly aggressive, these pint-sized primates – which live in large groups of males and females in the northern forests of South America (far, far away from New Jersey) – are highly social creatures and described as gregarious. There are studies, however, that suggest with low levels of alcohol, squirrel monkeys display increased aggression. Higher doses will decrease aggressive behavior. (Remember when Snooki passed out after drinking too much on the first episode of season 1?)
The common squirrel monkey is olive-colored and white with bright orange fur on its back and limbs, though there is no evidence of tanning. And the black-capped squirrel monkey has a poof of dark fur on its head, a bit like the Jersey Shore star.
Squirrel monkeys mostly eat fruits and insects – pickles are not a part of their diet.

This Makes Me Sick.

The Situation has no problems when it comes to the compensation.
One of the breakout stars of MTV’s smash hit Jersey Shore, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is busily, and effectively, turning his drama into dollar signs. Between his MTV salary, endorsement deals, his own branded products and other media opportunities, Sorrentino, 29, could earn as much as $5 million by the end of this year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The abs-flaunting Sorrentino is raking in close to $60,000 per episode in salary, and between $15,000 and $50,000 per event for appearances. He also has endorsement deals with Vitaminwater, Reebok and an unnamed vodka brand; will front a clothing line with Dilligaf and a line of chewable supplements with GNC; has released his own fitness video; and has partnered with Gotham Books to write his autobiography.
Oh, and he also has a “GTL” app and a rap song on iTunes, and has been in talks regarding several big-screen projects.
It’s all part of a carefully orchestrated plan. “We are really excited about all the opportunities coming Mike’s way,” says his manager, Mike Petolino of Gotham Entertainment. “He has been able to secure many endorsement deals, business opportunities and additional television offers based on the success of the show. Our goal has always been to try to build a brand if the situation presented itself.”

Jersey Shore Vernacular
The cast of Jersey Shore has its own vernacular. Here are some of my favs along with their definitions from 'The Real jersey Dictionary':
grenade (n.)—"a bigger, ugly chick" who is friends with a hotter chick your friend and/or housemate is "creepin'" on.
GTL (n.)—the acronym for the guido way of life, which stands for gym, tanning, laundry. Best if combined with "fresh to death."
zoo creature (n.)—a synonym for grenade. Also referred to as a hippo or an elephant.
And finally 'smush' which untill last night I though meant kiss (you have to admit, it is very close to smooch...its no wonder I miss understood its true meaning.)
smush (v.)—to have sex with, ideally involving a guido and a guidette.

Juicehead vs. Mama's Boy

Millions of viewers watched Snooki proposition her roommate, Vinny, Thursday night on Jersey Shore. But only one is fighting mad.
Emilio Masella, Snooki’s on-again-off-again boyfriend, was so angry about last night’s show that he called PEOPLE to vent. “I felt so embarrassed,” says Masella, who was dating Snooki at the time that the episode was filmed. “I was at a bar and to see that in front of so many people, I was really hurt.” Not to mention enraged.
“[Vinny] is lucky he’s not in the Jersey Shore this week. I would confront him in person,” says Masella. “I called the house last night and asked for him. He hung up on me. I called back and he put me on with Jenni and she screamed, ‘I’ll call the cops if you call again.’”
Though Masella assumes production won’t let him near his intended target, TV Watch wondered what a brawl between the two might look like:
Vinny Guadagnino:
Height: About 5’9″
Build: Medium. “I don’t follow those rules at all,” he’s said of his gym-loving roommates’ GTL routine. “I can see it if it was basketball, pool, beach.”
Emilio Masella:
Height: Short. He’s only got a few inches on Snooks, who has said she’s 4’10″.
Build: Juicehead. He’s Snooki’s desired type—and much bigger than Vinny. “He’s a mama’s boy,” adds Masella. “He’s a p—y.”
In lieu of a physical battle, the jilted beau said he got back at Snooki after last night’s episode. “I ended up getting laid last night in revenge,” he says.
Would he consider reuniting with Snooki? In true Jersey Shore style, he still isn’t ruling it out. “It would take a lot,” he says. “But you never know, It’s definitely possible. Anything’s possible.”

The Newest Guidette

Angelina is being replaced for season 3 of the Jersey Shore...here is some info on the newest guidette to join the show, I know you've all been dying to know about her.
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi may swear by pickles, but her season 3 Jersey Shore costar Deena Cortese says her must-have at all times is CVS-purchased lip gloss. Despite a difference in favorite things, Cortese says she and her pint-sized partner-in-crime are “two peas in a pod.” PEOPLE caught up with MTV’s newest reality vixen at the Beverly Hilton for MTV’s Television Critics Association panel to ask her about clubbing, being sorry for using a racial slur in a MySpace video and her “sexy” housemate Ronnie Magro.
You knew Snooki from before the show, so how did you end up finally becoming a cast member?
[Snooki] basically needed a partner-in-crime in the house, and me and her are exactly alike … It kind of scares me. She was like, “Deena, get you’re ‘a’ down here to Seaside. We’re going to party.”
How did the two of you meet?
We knew each other through her ex-boyfriend. She used to date one of my friends … and as soon as we met, it was just like heaven. We’ve known each other for about two years now.
Have you guys consistently been best friends or has it been on and off?
She lives in Poughkeepsie and I live in New Jersey. Me and her would always go to the clubs and see each other or just talk through Facebook and stuff. During the summer, we always just saw each other down the shore and stuff.
You said that you and Snooki are two peas in a pod, but how would you say your role on the show is different?
The difference between me and Nicole is she’s looking for love and I just don’t give a f— what guys think. Basically I’m the one just going out there, trying to have a good time. We’re all having a good time, but I’m just there for a freakin’ blast.
What about the guys on the show? You have to think at least one of them is hot, if not more?
All the guys are good-looking on the show. I think Pauly D is adorable. Mike, his personality just makes him cute because he’s awesome. Any Vinny‘s Vinny. He’s a cutie. All the guys are cute. And Ronnie‘s just — Ronnie’s sexy.
There was some controversy with you using the N-word in a MySpace video. What was that all about?
In that video I was not trying to disrespect anyone. It was more of a slang. I wasn’t trying to come off that way at all, and I apologize if I offended anyone. I’m not like that at all, and if I disrespected anyone, I apologize. I would never do something like that again. That shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
What’s a typical night out for you and Snooki?
A lot of shots, dancing on bars, meeting boys and being loud and obnoxious.
Who gets more attention from guys?
We definitely get equal amount of attention. We’re like two little meatballs running around the club.
Are you close with your family?
My parents are very protective of me. They enjoy that I did take this opportunity to go and do this, and they are my backbone. I wouldn’t be able to do anything without them. You will probably definitely see them [on the show], because I want them to come and visit me because I miss them. I have an older sister. She’s 35. She’s good-looking. She kind of looks like me.
Who do you not get along with in the cast?
I get along with everybody in the cast. I went in there with an open mind and it was good.

Snooks Goes to the Slammer

Always outrageous, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi allegedly took things too far this time.
The petite reality star, 22, of Jersey Shore was being booked by the Seaside Heights, N.J., police department Friday after she was seen intoxicated in public, a police source confirms. Meanwhile, the cameras on her popular MTV reality show were rolling too.
Polizzi was expected to be charged with disorderly conduct, another source says. "She didn’t hurt anyone or get in a fight," says the second source. "She just needs to be in a drunk tank for two hours."

Tanning is My Job.

I don't even have words for all the redic things he says...
Jersey Shore has changed the life of Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, but the reality star, who grew up in the Bronx, N.Y., just might move to Miami.
“I loved Miami because I am a beach guy,” Ortiz-Magro, 24, tells PEOPLE. “I got a tattoo while I was there and I suntanned on the beach. No spray tans for me. I love the natural sun. Tanning is my job.”
After filming season 2 of MTV’s hit reality show in Miami, where he and his costars lived at the Metropole Hotel for six weeks, Ortiz-Magro says he hopes to buy a waterfront condo there so he can live on Miami Beach part time, mainly during the winter season.
“I love the Bentleys I saw on Collins Avenue and the scenery and shopping on South Beach,” he tells PEOPLE. “The girls in all of Miami look so exotic and foreign. I don’t discriminate.”
And then there are the clubs. Ronnie’s favorite hotspots turned out to be Tantra and Klutch. “I like big clubs,” he says. “Those in Miami are different from places in Jersey that are more indoor/outdoor. I liked most everything about Miami but the traffic on the beach at night. It got very frustrating.”
As for his once-romantic relationship with costar Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, who reportedly slapped a Miami club-goer in a fight over Ronnie, he will only say they are now “good friends.” Does that mean no more smooshing? Says Ronnie, “We will see what happens.”
Season 2 of Jersey Shore, which Ronnie says is “20 times” crazier than the first, premieres Thursday (10 p.m. EST) on MTV.
