Etsy Finds: Things That Are Wooden

I like the idea of this vintage wooden crate.  Serena and Lily had a similar one they put castors on and used as a toy box.  Sadie needs a stylish toy box right?  Also...I found a new antique store, they had tones of these crates for way cheaper.  The next time you come visit me I'll take you there, it will blow your mind!

Who does not need a reusable six pack holder...especially with a bottle opener built in!

Etsy Finds

I've been finding lots of good stuff on Etsy recently but haven't been posting about it...I'm going to try to get back on the band waggon of posting one Etsy find a week.

recently I've been thinking about switching away from the clear Goody's hair ties I've been using for years and going with something like these.  I love that they can be worn as a bracelet when you're not using them and that they are tie dyed.

This seller has them in all kinds of colors.

While I'm on the subject of Etsy finds I want to share these bracelets with you.

They come in all sorts of leather and metal combos.  I thought the tan leather with gold would be very versatile but I also think I would wear the gold on gold a lot.  I'm even feeling bold enough to ask for my own color combo.  Gray leather with gold metal.  Don't you think that would just be the bee's knees?

Fab Find Friday

I know, I know...its not Friday.  I meant to post this before I headed home for the weekend and it completely slipped my mind.  So here it is.  I came across this picture on Pinterest a while back and loved the combo of the wood wick candle with the rustic wood trivet.

Well low and behold, I came across the picture again...this time it was a link to the Etsy store where the candles were sold (its called Luminology...check it out).  I just happened to notice that the shop was located in...Iowa.  Which made me like it even more.  AND, once the candle burns down you can use the container as a bowl.  Bonus!

So...I emailed the shop owner to see if she would tell me where she got the trivet.  I assumed it was some fab home decor store.  She said she actually got it at a flea market a long time ago.  I did some web browsing and these are the two closest options I found.

This one is from Amazon.

This one is from Anthropologie.  I know it doesn't look too exciting, but check out the other pictures of it on their web site, it will grow on you trust me.

A New to Me Wine Rack

I saw these pictures on some blog this morning and I immediately wanted one...

After doing a little Internet research I discovered that they are actually probably vintage milk carriers, but I love the idea of using them for counter top wine storage...its hard to find a cute wine rack that isn't too cheesy.

Both of the examples above are from Etsy, but I'm not telling which store to get them at in case I end up buying one for my self...I know, its so selfish of me, but this is my blog!

Etsy Finds

Its been awhile since I did one of these posts...I haven't had a whole lot of time to explore Etsy recently.  A painting on the Rock Paper Scissors blog caught my eye today and now I'm totally dying for  a copy of this print!

There are tons of cool abstract painting in this store, but the color combo in this one was by far my fav...I love that it looks like there is so much texture even though its a print!

Etsy Find

I swear I haven't been neglecting you...I just haven't really come across anything blog worthy but here is a little something...

I saw this print on DESIGNLOVEFEST and it struck a cord with me because the longer my hair gets, the messier it gets for some reason...but I'm learning to like the mess.

That print lead me to this print from the same shop:

Where is the Lady's Room?

If I ever own a joint that has public restrooms I'm def using these to distinguish between the lady's room and the men's room.

They're from this Etsy shop.

Fab Find Friday...

Alex and I are going to Oxford, Mississippi at the end of the month for the Double Decker Art and Music festival.  He says the best way to get around town will be on bikes...good thing I finally got one for my birthday!

I think we need to get these for the big event:

For me.

For Al...obviously, note the PBR.

They're both from this Etsy shop.

Etsy Finds of the Week

How cute are these?  I have lots of baby showers to go to this spring and I think I'll be buying bunches and bunches of these.

A new breed of children’s clothing has been born. Adorable and functional My Biby Tee is both tee shirt and bib; all you have to do is grab one of the floppy ears and dab baby’s drool away, the animal is made of complete terry cloth. It eliminates the need for kids still in their drooling phase to have to wear a bib all day; plus little ones will love to grab the ears to rub against their gums when they are teething. Created by a mother of two who found with her second she got to the point where she was using her shirt or her daughter's to keep her little one’s face dry.

Buy here.

Etsy Finds of the Week

This would be perf for a zoo or safari themed nuersery for only 20 bones!  I love how bright and colorful it is!

I also have a strange obsession with London style street signs.  They have some at Room and Board that are super expensive, but you can get this set of 3 for only $40 on Etsy!

Etsy Finds of the Week

I've come across about a million cool Etsy shops in the last couple weeks and I'm very tempted to share all of them with you right now, but I'll try to contain myself.

Here are a few that I thought had some cool but different stuff:

1. Mariforssell - This shop has all kinds of fun iPod/iPhone/iPad cases.  I really like how slim the cases are and that you can use the leather strap to hold headphones.  These would make great groomsmen gifts!

2. Little by Jenny - Ok, I know this one is weird.  I don't know why, but I am totally obsessed with these tepees.  I think maybe they remind me of the movie the Holiday?  Who knows...but I think they would be great in a kid's room or for backyard camping.

Wouldn't these make great stocking stuffers.  I know you're thinking "I don't use pencils"...yeah, but wouldn't you be more inclined to do so if you could use these?

Most of you know I have a weakness for all things peacock...I have no idea why, but I do...with is probably why I think these dish towels are so cute...that and the $13 price tag.

Buy here: Lovelane

The store also has a sweet set of moustache coasters for sale...I'm just saying, its def worth checking out.

Etsy Find(s) of the Week

Believe it or not I didn't add a single think to my Anthro wish list this week so instead of an Anthro Item of the Week I'm giving you lots and lots of Etsy finds!

Gwenyth Paltrow told me about these (seriously).  I get her weekly newsletter called Goop and it always has good stuff in it...you should sign up for it too.  For $15 you can have custom recipe cards created and the seller sends you a high quality PDF so you can print as many as your litter heart desires.  Buy them here:

This seller has the best variety of tin frames at the best prices.  If you were thinking about buying me one I'll take this one please.  You can order it here: Krueger Enterprises

I think this is what the castle staff leaves Prince William's midnight snack out on.  I probablly need one too, right?  You can buy it here: Hot House.  They have all kinds of other cool vintage home goods.

I've been on the hunt for some gold hoops...I think these are perf.  Buy here: Demimonde Jewelry
