I've seen so many cute outfits on Pinterest with Ivory cable knit sweaters, I think I need to get one this fall.  It would be a very versatile addition to my wardrobe right?!

This could be a fun blouse for work or play, but I think I def need to see it in person before ordering it.

A few years back on Pinterest I came across a picture of a girl in a simple pale pink dress with black tights and black shoes and ever since I've wanted to recreate the look, it was such a nice combo that you don't see every day.  I like this dress but will prob go with the black version, it will just be way more versatile.

I made myself resist the urge to post these the moment I found them and the in the chaos that is my life I never posted them last week, so here they are a few days late...

Loving pelpums right now and really wanting this one to find its way to my closet somehow.

I have a sweater/vest-ish thing like this that I never wear only because I don't have the right shirt to go under it...I may get it and use it as an excuse to get a shirt that will work under both (I'm thinking something pretty basic, just a long dark 3/4 or long sleeved t-shirt.

I know its hot out still, but I can't resist cardi's for some reason right now.  I NEED this, for real...and I wouldn't mind the shirt pictured under it either.

A plain white tee with some flare.  Its super flattering on...I happen to know because its already been worn by moi and put in my dirty clothes hamper.  I tricked Alex into making a quick stop at Anthro while we were in Atlanta on the way to Denver.

 

Linen striped shirt.  A perfect summer weight.  So versatile.

 

Obsessed.  I think the color blocking will make this one so flattering on.  Love it dressed up with these necklaces, but you could also dress it down...or add some color...the possibilities are truly endless aren't they?

I have a different shirt with a similar hem...I think this shirt would get a lot of wear.

I kind of like this.  The only thing I think is a little odd is the fact that the stripes on the bottom show through the red material.

Love this.  Comes in lots of other colors.

Easy, breezy, beautiful.  Perf for summer.

If I dressed up to come to work I'd wear this...as long as it didn't hit at the widest part of my hips.  This is one I'm going to have to try on in person.

I'd seen this dress online and didn't think much of it, but then I saw it on one of the girls who worked at Anthro last weekend and fell in love.  I ordered in black and have been checking every day to see if its on my door step.  Its in contention to be my birthday outfit!

 

I love the idea of maxi dresses, but usually they are so flowy that they are completely unflattering on me.  I like that this one is fitted through the waist and for less than $100 its a steal for Anthropologie!

 

This is another one I saw online and considered but didn't think would be flattering despite all the good reviews...well, I got a similar shirt last weekend and can't tell you how many compliments I've received about it (even from a 60+ lady in my book club...more to come on that story later) so now I want this one too.  You can never have enough striped shirts.  This one says spring but will we wearable now since I don't think it will actually feel like spring around here for a long time!

If I get this Alex will say I already have about 5 shirts that look exactly the same...but you can never have too many shirts like this right?  It does say its shimmery which might make it less desirable to me...we'll see.

 

Notice the statement necklace with that shirt above?  This isn't she same one but I like it.  The chain is a bit questionable, but having a long statement necklace needs to me in my near future.

 

This dress looks like it would be flattering and comfortable.

I've decided I need to invest in a skinny belt.  Both of these seem like good choices but I'm leaning more towards the one below.  It's clean and classic and I think I'd wear natural leather more than gold.

 

This dress is has really pretty details even though its hard to see in this pic...go to the web site and look at the green one to see for yourself.  I'm also kind of obsessed with that belt.  This dress is super cheap for Anthro so I'm kind of questioning the quality...it will prob show every lump and bump or be totally see though...but I still like it for now.

 

This book is so AWESOME.  It used to cost way more but now there is a paperback version that's way cheaper...its basically city guides for long weekend trips...how cool is that!

I really like the idea of this...I think it could be worn with so many things and would be so easy to just throw on!

 

 

For some reason I've been dying to get new work clothes recently...which is weird because most days I wear jeans to work and don't run into anyone in the office so it really doesn't matter what I'm wearing.  I know it doesn't look like anything that special, but the reviews are so good I'm keeping it on my wishlist just in case it goes on sale!

This isn't a new arrival but it caught my eye recently...probably because emerald was just announced as the Pantone color of the year.

Speaking of colors of the year...some of you know that I pick my own color of the year. Its usually just a color I want to incorporate into my life more.  Looking back my colors of the year have been pretty consistent with the Pantone colors of the year...but not on purpose.  So I guess emerald will be my color of the year too!

I like the idea of blue earrings as your something blue for a wedding.  All of these would be great options:

Bold blue.

These are described as mint so they might not look as blue in person.

This last option is much less fancy, but could work for a rustic wedding and would be more likely to be wearable in everyday life.

I have MANY plaid shirts, but this one is flannel which = warm!

I've instated a new policy for myself.  Since its really only warm enough to wear dresses a few months of the year here, I don't have to dress up to go into the office and wearing a dress out on the town almost always makes me feel over dressed I'm going to only buy dresses that are on sale.

I think this chambray shirt dress could be worn out on the town.

Obviously I love a shirt dress.  Love the pizazz the belt adds to the outfit. 

One more shirt dress.  Thank you Anthro for showing me that it can be paired with tights and booties so I don't have order it and keep my fingers crossed that it will look ok now that the closest Anthro is an hour and a half away and in a different state!
