Neglected.

I could not believe my eyes when it said my last post was from April.  Whoops.  Sorry I've been neglecting you.  Here is a photo dump from the last few months...

Loving the ticking stripe chair in this little nook...and the plants in baskets and paintings in gold frames...pretty much love it all.

Huge windows and cozy blanket?  Yes please.

Love this art by Michelle Armas.

Might have to recreate this...

Attractive bathroom storage...you know I love a built-in, even in bathrooms!

Love the tiny cakes and sprinkled cover numbers!

A Few More Randoms for You...

Love this little tray set up.

Love the fabric combo...I would swap the pink stripes for green ones

Ninabelle, saw this stained glass and thought of you.

My mom has forbidden pumpkin decorations for the wedding, and I don't want it to look too kitchy/overloaded with Pinterest ideas, but  a chalkboard like this might be ok for the rehearsal dinner.

Photo Dump

Champ, nails, ring, print...all perfection,

I want to have breakfast here.

Going to make this dessert a lot this summer.  I'm pretty sure its a sheet of sugar cookies, but I think you could also do it with puff pastry.

Wedding Inspiration

Such a sweet engagement pic.

I love "naked" cakes right now.  This berry topped version is extra pretty.

Now comes the pics I've stolen off Instagram recently...

Such a pretty setting.

Best idea ever.  Well, ok...technically a ring delivered on a new puppy's collar is prob the best way to propose ever, but this is a very close runner up.

Wedding Inspiration

This dress looks so comfortable and pretty.  Illusion necklines throw me for a loop if they don't match skin tone, but this dress seems to work, at least on this girl.

Pretty natural flowers.

I've never seen a fishtail on someone with such short hair...it gives me hope that maybe I can do it one day!

While we're on the subject of weddings...

I'm loving "naked" cakes, especially with berries like this one.

And I think this center piece is really sweet - dainty wild flowers and candles on a tree sliver...like.

Stone Fox Bride

Y'all.  I'm obsessed.  Follow Stone_Fox_Bride on Instagram.  The post the rings of all their customers and they are amazing.  Seriously.  Here are a few of my favs...

I used to always think I wanted tiny pave diamonds on the band, but this has me seriously rethinking that...a halo AND pave on the band might be a little to much.  I also love the black diamond band next to it, it makes a very traditional engagement ring somehow look a little bit edgy right?!

This one doesn't even have a halo (although I'm sure the bezel does the same thing and makes it look bigger than it really is) and I still love it.  I love that it is a little rustic too.

This one is very different, very art deco.  I'm not sure I'd wear it, but I do love looking at it!

Wedding Inspiration

I like the greenery boutonniere, but maybe not quite so full of an arrangement.

Love that they had someone capture the moment of surprise.

Wedding Inspiration

I think the pic above is actually an engagement session, but I like her outfit...its what made me want a jean jacket most recently.

I've been seeing a lot of short dresses recently...I think they're fun, but I wonder if you would regret not getting a gown.

Pretty white flowers in mason jars down the isle...simple, elegant, but also a little rustic.

Pretty wedding makeup and hair.

Style Inspiration

Once again I'm cramming a bunch of things that are sort of style related into one post because I'm lazy...

Classic but modern...may have to try and find something like this in my closet for an upcoming business trip to Dallas.

Love the dress in this engagement session. I think it could also maybe be worn as a casual wedding dress.  I especially love it pair with that necklace.

Still trying to master how to place a bobby fin like this...seriously, why is it so difficult.

I love blush, but did she really need it all over her entire cheek?  Maybe just stick to the apples next time.

You can't really tell, but the classes on the left say bride.  Both would be super cute for a bachelorette party.

Don't think I'll ever go as short as the girl on the left again, but the cut screams sassy and fun to me!

Wedding Inspiration

I've been loving really southern wedding inspiration pics recently.

Like the artichokes mixed with the flowers...is that weird?

Love the magnolia garland on the tables.

Love the font on this invitation suite.

Like the vessel this centerpiece is in.

Wedding Colors

Last year at Christmas time Alex's sister asked what my colors would be when we got married and I remember thinking that sounded so 80's...do people still have colors for their weddings?  I'm still not sure I'm a fan of the idea but I guess it would help tie everything together.

I'm not a pink kind of girl, but I am a girl who loves bright colors.  I especially like the idea of blue earrings for your something blue.  I came across these on Pinterest the other day...

and then this bouquet...

I love how bright it is and that it looks like a natural bouquet...its not too done/put together.  I think the little bits of blue in the bouquet would really make blue earrings pop don't you?

Boll Weevil Decor

Alex has long talked about opening a brewery called Boll Weevil.  I've reminded him on several occasions that he might want to consider actually learning how to brew, but that is beside the point.  The point is that, when the time comes I'll already have saved all kinds of ideas on how to decorate so that part will be easy peasy.  I'm thinking a southern/industrial chic look is going to be just perf.  Here are some ways we can incorporate cotton into the brewery...I might even have to steal a few of these for my home while I wait on Alex's brewing skills to improve!

Cotton displayed in galvanized steel buckets (not sure about the chalkboard label though...pretty sure Alex will reject that part after my failed attempt to turn an old platter into a chalk board).

Cotton in mason jars...minus the candles, those make it look way too weddingy.  Come to think of it, beer will prob be served in mason jars, not pint glasses.

Cotton wreath.  Love.

Cotton in big jars on trays...I'm thinking bottles of all the Boll Weevil brews could be displayed on these trays too.

Cotton boutoniere...not for the brewery but just to prove to you unbelievers out there that it can be done in a classy way.

Anthropologie Items of the Week

I like the idea of blue earrings as your something blue for a wedding.  All of these would be great options:

Bold blue.

These are described as mint so they might not look as blue in person.

This last option is much less fancy, but could work for a rustic wedding and would be more likely to be wearable in everyday life.
