DIY Projects on My Radar

I've been liking the idea of dressers as nightstands a lot recently...and seeing the look in person at Hardee's new house this weekend only added to my admiration of this look.  It makes so much sense to have something functional next to the bed and I think we could all use a little extra storage space.  My current nightstand just has one little drawer and the top of it is pretty much full seeing as I always have a huge turvis tumbler of water and a book on it in addition to the lamp, alarm clock and candle that also live there.

I think I could get a really basic, really inexpensive dresser with clean lines like this at Ikea, paint it and add some brass hardware to it and have a very stylish new dresser!

Love the design on this cornhole board.  My parents need a set for the lake and I just might have to make them a similar set!

A Little Inspiration

I'm not usually a monogram kind of girl, but I really love this cornhole board.  A lot.

Don't you just really want to eat breakfast right here?  I sure do.

Anthropologie has a very similar candelabra that is very very reasonably priced.  I kind of want one...but I have no idea where I'd put it.

Fun.

This pic was in an email from Anthropologie...it caught my eye because of the bright colors and bold patterns...but upon closer examination I noticed dice and dominoes and poker chips...and it made me realize that even though I might be a tiny bit OCD when it comes to keeping my house clean and putting everything in its place I totally want a house that is just fun and has random game pieces scattered about because fun is what life is really all about right?

Beer Pong in Style

I'll probably never look as glam playing beer pong as Jennifer Garner does here on Jimmy Kimmel but a girl can always dream...

Yard Games

I'm a big fan of games (even though I am the first to volunteer to sit out for corn hole because I am so awful at it)...and now that nice weather is in the not so distant future I'm very excited to get outside and play.

Giant Jenga...someone needs to make this happen in my life stat (made with 2 by 4s cut to 10 1/2 inches in lendth).

Poleish - a new discovery...lots of fun. You can buy a set like this on Amazon for $40 or make your own ganster version...ask Doug for instructions.
