Prepare for a New Royal!

I wonder which of the two the baby will look like and what they'll name it!

Such exciting news!  Here was People.com had to say about it!

The Duchess of Cambridge, 30, is expecting her first child, the Palace has confirmed.

"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby," read the statement released Monday. "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news."

"The Duchess was admitted this afternoon to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London with Hyperemesis Gravidarum," the statement continued. "As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter."

William is with her at the hospital, and the morning sickness is "acute," the palace says.

The couple have made no secret of their desire to have start a family. Prince William said in their joint interview on the day they announced their engagement that they'd move cautiously "one step at a time."

"We'll sort of get over the marriage first and then maybe look at the kids," he told ITN. "But obviously we want a family so we'll have to start thinking about that."

Now the thinking is over – and the speculation that has gripped royal watchers can end.

If it is anything like the couple's 2011 wedding, which was watched so intently and by hundreds of millions of viewers, the excitement is bound to build to the big day of the new royal's birth.

On Monday morning, Prime Minister David Cameron congratulated the couple, saying, "I'm delighted by the news that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting a baby. They will make wonderful parents."

Like William's in 1982, the birth will be heralded not just by headlines at home but around the world. Even if William and Kate's baby is a girl, she can expect to inherit the throne from her father, irrespective of whether any other child the royal couple has is a boy. Until a recent rule change was signalled, boys took precedence.

One thing is certain: They have a wonderful palace home to move their family into when the baby is growing up. The couple will be relocating into the 20-room Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace in early 2013.

In the meantime, they are mainly based in a four bedroom farmhouse at an idyllic location on Anglesey, North Wales, so William can be to his base at RAF Valley, where he's a search and rescue helicopter pilot.

Things of Importance in this Picture...

1. William obvi got Kate a puppy for her 30th birthday.  Lucky.

2. I recently told Alex he was not allowed to buy a similar hat because I didn't think anyone could successfully pull off that style.  I was wrong William can, but I still think that muggles CAN NOT.

3. Nina has the same boots as Kate...I may start calling her Princess or Duchess Nina.

Pretty Girl

I saw footage from this event this morning on Good Morning America (which is way better than the Today Show Katrina) and said "She looks sooooo pretty!"

Alex replied, "She a pretty girl, she always looks pretty."

This is true but doesn't she look exceptionally radiant here?  I sure think so!

The Honeymooners

After a week in which the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went back to work (him) and hit the local shops (her), the newlyweds are now doing something more traditional – they've headed off on honeymoon.

On Tuesday, the Palace confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple have headed off on their romantic vacation. It is thought that William, 28, has two weeks leave from his duties with his RAF Search and Rescue squadron, with whom he helped rescue several people in the mountains of Wales.

Sources at the Palace will not cite the newlyweds' destination. A spokesman states, "The couple have asked for their privacy to be respected during their honeymoon."

The royal duo had announced that they were delaying their trip and instead left Buckingham Palace a day after their April 29 wedding for a "mini-moon" at an undisclosed destination in the U.K.

The British tabloids are speculating that they've gone to the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean. Per tradition, the destination was reputedly kept secret from the bride.

The Morning After...

This is what the newly weds looking like the morning after the big day...I hope my hubs and I look that good the morning after our wedding!

By the way...I totally love blazers with khakis and a button up shirt but no tie, very sexy Wills!

The After Party

Dress #2 for the after party, also Alexander McQueen

Wills in a tux.

Pippa who apparently has has been dubbed 'her royal hotness' by the British press.

By the way, I'm pretty sure that if I had gotten a puppy this weekend her name would have had something to do with the royal wedding...maybe Pippa, or Abbey so something else fab and British.

The Get Away Car

I love that Prince William drove his bride away from Buckingham Palace after the wedding but I would have rather seen a floral garland of some sort on the pack of the car rather than balloons from Kroger.

Notice that the license plate says 'Just Wed'...what a nice touch.

Offical Wedding Portraits

I still can't get enough of the royal wedding...here are some of the official portraits from the big event:

I Want to be a Princess.

I'm over the moon, the royal wedding was everything I thought it would be and so much more.

I've asked Alex to start calling me HRH (her royal highness) Sarah and courtesy to me when he sees me and he's agreed. I'll be drinking champ all night as part of my celebration of Lady Katherine and Wills. I'm trading in my flats for some high heels when I hit the town tonight because this is a special occasion that calls for getting dressed up! If I had a fascinator I'd totally wear it, but I might have to settle for my headband with a giant flower on it instead.

Kate looked amazing:

I love everything...the dress, the jewelry, here hair and makeup and even the tiara which I'm normally against, but she's a PRINCESS!

My mom called to say that she thought Kate's dress was very similar to hers...I'll post a pic so we can all compare once I get my little paws on one.

My hands down fav moment was in the beginning when William turned to Kate and mouthed, "You look beautiful." Swoon.

I'll also post more on what I thought about the wedding once I can pull some coherent thoughts together right now all I can think is...

I WANT TO BE A PRINCESS!

Elton John Will Jam Out at William and Kate's Wedding

Elton John has hinted he will likely have a role in Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding celebration – even if he has to set up his piano outside the gates of Westminster Abbey.

The British singer, 63, who famously performed at the 1997 funeral of William's mother, Princess Diana, and at her memorial concert a decade later, was asked about the wedding on BBC Radio.

He replied that he'll "probably" perform – but quickly quipped, "I'll probably be outside busking."

Next Wednesday, Dec. 1, for World AIDS Day, John will be guest-editing the British newspaper the Independent, but he told BBC Radio 2's Steve Wright not to expect too much royal-wedding coverage. "I think we've had enough of that for the time being," he said.

Meanwhile, William and Kate were at the Buckingham Palace together on Thursday holding meetings with their aids. Palace officials say invitations have yet to go out for the April 29 wedding, and they won't comment on possible big names on the guest list.

"It is all speculation," a palace spokeswoman tells PEOPLE. "Nothing has been determined. We are still in discussions. They are only now sitting down and starting to think about things."

The guest list is likely to include ordinary people from charities associated with the couple and members of the armed forces.

A report in the Daily Mail suggests that Diana's brother, Earl Spencer, will have a key role at the wedding, perhaps even making a speech, but the palace rep would not confirm that.

Save the Date

Mark your calendars: Prince William and Kate Middleton have chosen a wedding date!  The Royal wedding will take place on Friday, April 29, 2011, according to the British Monarchy Twitter. It will take place at Westminster Abbey, the venue for the 1947 wedding of the then Princess Elizabeth, William's grandmother the Queen.

The couple, both 28, have got their wish to have a relatively early ceremony. William is known to have wanted as short an engagement as was practical, PEOPLE understands, and they both wanted a spring wedding.

Early clues as to the venue came only a day after their November 16 engagement, when Kate was seen leaving the Abbey where she was given a tour by officials.

Sources early Tuesday said that despite the fact it can seat 2,000 guests, the couple like the Abbey's "intimacy." The palace officials have also announced that the Royal Family and will pay for the church service, the music and parties. The cost of security – likely to run into millions – will be met by the British taxpayers.

Meanwhile, the couple are continuing their lives as they had been pre-engagement. Catherine Middleton, as the palace calls her, was seen shopping at upmarket superstore Waitrose in Menai Bridge, not far from the home that the prince rents in North Wales.

It will also be a public holiday in the U.K, the Prime Minister David Cameron announced. There is already the May Day holiday on the following Monday, making for a festive four-day weekend for the country.

Kate's Ring

William proposed with his mother's engagement ring.

Diana got to chose her own ring from a selection presented by Garrard Jewelers when Prince Charles proposed to her. There are a few different theories on why Diana selected the 18-carat oval sapphire surrounded by 14 diamonds: the color matched her eyes, the Queen may have actually selected it, or as Diana was later quoted as saying, “It was the biggest.”

William and Kate are Engaged!

The wait is over: Prince William and Kate Middleton, having been a couple on and off for eight years, are finally set to wed, they have announced.

While no date has been revealed, it is thought the ceremony will be held in a few months and be the biggest since William's mother, Diana, married Prince Charles.

"Everyone is absolutely delighted. He has never had eyes for any other woman since Kate came on the scene," says an old friend. "She is going to make a wonderful wife, a wonderful princess."

Both the future bride and groom are 28.

The Official Statement:

The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton.  The wedding will take place in the Spring or Summer of 2011, in London. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.

Prince William and Miss Middleton became engaged in October during a private holiday in Kenya. Prince William has informed The Queen and other close members of his family. Prince William has also sought the permission of Miss Middleton's father.

Following the marriage, the couple will live in north Wales, where Prince William will continue to serve with the Royal Air Force.

Long Live the Queen!

I watched Young Victoria this weekend.  Twice.  I'm kind of obsessed now.  What can I say, I'm pretty sure I'd make an excellent queen.

Because of my new found fascination with British royalty I feel the need to start reporting on Prince William and Kate Middelton...

It may not have been her wedding, but Kate Middleton beamed a wide smile as she joined Prince William at the nuptials of a close friend in England on Saturday.

The couple, both 28, who have been dating on and off for about eight years, lit up the English countryside just a day after getting back from a safari break in Kenya, Africa.

Middleton appeared every inch the princess-to-be in a bright blue dress, fitted black jacket, sky-scraping heels and a huge hat adorned with feathers.  "She looked so happy," an observer tells PEOPLE.

The prince was dapper in conservative tailcoat and purple tie, smiling for fans and photographers as he arrived with Middleton at the church in Northleach.

"They were both so relaxed, and she looked incredibly demure by his side," adds another observer, royals author Judy Wade. "She was very much his fair lady in her big picture hat. You get the impression it's the sort of wedding they would wish they could have – in Gloucestershire with friends, rather than a big formal wedding in central London."
