New Dream Job: Congressional Aid

This guy is a congressman from Illinois, and he's single...just saying.

Sir Paul is Engaged!

Paul McCartney and his girlfriend of four years, Nancy Shevell, are engaged to be married.

"Nancy and Paul are getting married," a source close to Shevell, 51, a New York businesswoman, first told PEOPLE Friday. "Ring and all – very exciting."

McCartney's rep later confirmed, but would not provide any more details. The Beatles legend, 68, started dating Shevell in the Hamptons during the summer of 2007, and despite their 17-year age difference, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE they were a perfect pair.

"They have the right chemistry," the source said. "They're both cool, chilled out and optimistic."

Etsy Finds

I hate ironing, but with an iron cover from this shop I think I'd like ironing a whole lot more!

You may not understand my love of moustaches, but I bet you can't help but want a set of these from this shop.

Anthropologie Items of the Week

I've been such a busy little worker bee at the office that I didn't even realized I neglected to post my Anthropologie items of the week yesterday until this morning...here they are:

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this dress...for starters, it striped, cinches at the waist, has side pockets and a super comfy skirt made of of chambray...what's not to love.  Its perf for braves games, the fourth or July or anytime you want to look put together in a jiffy.

This skirt could be thrown on with a t-shirt to run errands, go to the pool our just lounge in and still look like a lady.

Let me start by saying this dress is $78...a steal for Anthro!  I love the bright colors, unique print and the way it ties at the neck.  With a dress like this I can honestly say I need it because I don't have anything like it in my closet.

Style Icon

Came across this pic of Liv Tyler today and it reminded me how much I love her.

I want my hair to look like this...effortless but still pretty.  My hair is totally straight.  If I curl it I look like I'm straight out of my college days trying way to hard...plus it takes me forever to do and then falls out.  I found that making a bun on top of my head when its about 90% dry, shooting it with a blast of hot air from the hair dryer and then letting it cool/dry completely gives me the perf amount of natural looking wave.

I love that she's not afraid of color and rocks leggings.

This outfit is totally, totally perf.  You can't really tell but this is a tunic dress that cinches at the waist.  The studded bag makes the ensemble not look so sweet and the green hunter boots and navy coat provide unexpected pops of color.  Love.

C-O-L-O-R

Those of you who know me know I don't shy away from color.

My closet is color coded...the black/brown/nude sections are pretty much non-existent.  There is a good bit of gray, but that is only because it was my color of the year in 2010...side note:

Each year I pick a color I'd like to start buying more of so I can be on the look out for clothes that look good on me in that color because I've been known to get into color ruts where I don't branch out at all.  I picked gray because it always looks chic and understated, like you're not trying to hard even when you are.  Its out of character for me but if I had to pic a neutral to wear it would def be gray.

This year my color of the year is blue...be sure to compliment me every time you see me wearing blue, its not a color I'm used to sporting, but I'm starting to like it.

Anyways...my friend Katrina sent me this today and said that if she had to pick out colors to describe me these would be they:

What she doesn't know it that I saw the same pic this morning and thought to myself, that is so me...obvi Katrina knows me pretty well because they are spot on, especially the magenta...and not to mention the confetti - I love confetti...which brings me to another different but some what related idea...

I'm going to start sending out hand made cards like the one above that say "I wanna party with you" when I need some quality time with a friend.  Of course this will slightly infuriate SHB because she hates confetti and glitter but I'll plan something fab for the two of us to do together that will totally make it up to her.

I just think its such a fun way to say "let's hang out" and if its unexpected it will be all the more fun!

They had no idea!

Yes I'm still talking about the royal wedding.

I just found out the most of the people at Alexander McQueen had no idea they were making Katherine's dress, just a few select people that had signed confidentiality agreements, everyone else thought they were making a dress for a period movie.

I love that.

Its a Sign...

Robert Pattinson just adopted a dog (yes I know that's K-Stew walking it, but its his)...which is a clear indicator that I should too, don't you think?

Its name is Bear.

Designer Collaboration

Another designer collaboration I'm excited about!

Missoni with Target and Bugaboo...I may just have to go ahead and buy one of these strollers, I love the chevron print so much!

Love the blanket too and the fact that this could totally be unisex so it would be so practical even though I'm sure it costs an arm and a leg.

I want to be you.

I don't love love love the dress, but I do love love love the shoe choice with this dress...

and her hair and make-up...

and that cute boy around her arm.
