Well, I went and got myself a real job.  Where I actually work all day.  Hard.  Then I got married.  And I've been looking for a house.  What can I say, the blog slipped off my priority list.  I don't think anyone reads this any more any ways, but I need to dump a bunch of pictures off my phone so I figured I might as well post them here.  Prepare for randomness.

Loving the ticking stripe chair in this little nook...and the plants in baskets and paintings in gold frames...pretty much love it all.

Feeling Blue (When it Comes to Pillows)

 

Recently I've been on the hunt for blue pillows for my bed.  I'm sick of the bright green damask I have in the room now.

 

This pic was the inspiration...a mix of blue and ivory print pillows.

 

Here are a few pillow options I've scouted out to recreate the look at my house. 

 

 I love the idea of a dark mostly navy lumbar pillow like the pillows above and below.

 

Sorry for the iPhone screenshots, they were the best I could do to capture the two pillows below to add to the mix...I think they would work well as shams...maybe one of each so I have a pillow assortment, not a typical 2 euro 2 standard sham look.

Going to make this dessert a lot this summer.  I'm pretty sure its a sheet of sugar cookies, but I think you could also do it with puff pastry.

Home Decor Inspiration

 

Love the dark wall (but I would do it all or nothing, I'm not a fan of accent walls...and I would do black/dark blue paint, not chalkboard paint), warm wood dresser, modern looking crib, the basket under the chair and the side table.

 

This makes me really want a dark blue china cabinet...I could do without the antlers even though I know they're kind of in right not and even though I love brass I'd trade the tree pot for something else (basket or galvanized steel maybe).

 

What a cozy fireplace, I would love to sit and read here.

 

Cute for a teen.  Like the mix of patterns and think you could pick some more sophisticated patterns to recreate an adult version.

 

I think I save every pic of Erika from Urban Grace's house she posts on Instagram.  Love the bamboo shade/curtain combo.
