I Want to be a Princess.

I'm over the moon, the royal wedding was everything I thought it would be and so much more.

I've asked Alex to start calling me HRH (her royal highness) Sarah and courtesy to me when he sees me and he's agreed. I'll be drinking champ all night as part of my celebration of Lady Katherine and Wills. I'm trading in my flats for some high heels when I hit the town tonight because this is a special occasion that calls for getting dressed up! If I had a fascinator I'd totally wear it, but I might have to settle for my headband with a giant flower on it instead.

Kate looked amazing:

I love everything...the dress, the jewelry, here hair and makeup and even the tiara which I'm normally against, but she's a PRINCESS!

My mom called to say that she thought Kate's dress was very similar to hers...I'll post a pic so we can all compare once I get my little paws on one.

My hands down fav moment was in the beginning when William turned to Kate and mouthed, "You look beautiful." Swoon.

I'll also post more on what I thought about the wedding once I can pull some coherent thoughts together right now all I can think is...

Don't you just love the idea of a "survivors' breakfast"?  I'm totally going to throw one next time we have a big night together...maybe after Derek's wedding?

I love this LBD.  Unfortunately for me its made of chiffon and Alex hates the feel of chiffon so it won't be in my future but I think it would look super cute paired with turquoise earrings!

First of all, I have to admit I loved the original Toyota Sienna Swagger Wagon music video.

This one was done by some fraternity boys and sorority girls from UGA who also happen to be YOUNG LIFE LEADERS!  For everytime this video is watch they will be given money to help send kids to Young Life camp.  If you click on some of the ads that will donate even more money...so help a brother and sister out and watch this video!

A Southern Girl's Lemonaide

I saw this recipe and immediately thought of two of my gin loving BFFs.

Hardee you should be happy that not only is this post dedicated you to (and also to yo mama) but also that I'm getting a post up this early...its a good sign as to what's to come for the rest of the day!

This drink is called "A Southern Girl’s Lemonaide" and is one of the signature drinks at the W Hotel in Atlanta:


Combine 1½ oz. gin, ¾ oz. Grand Marnier, ¾ oz. fresh lemon juice, ¾ oz. honey, 4 muddled cucumber slices, and 4-6 muddled mint leaves in a shaker.

Shake and loosely strain over crushed ice.

Top with soda and garnish with a mint leaf and cucumber slice.

Bottoms up and enjoy!

I got a sample of this John Frieda Full Repair shampoo and conditioner in the mail and gave it a try this weekend...

I AM OBSESSED!!!

It smells like Burberry Brit for women (aka like heaven).

It gave my hair an incredibly glossy shine and it was weightless so my hair still had tons of volume.

I'm going to go buy full sized bottles ASAP.

I also want to try out some of the products, there is a volumizing foam, a serum for fine hair and one for medium textured hair and that little one that looks like mascara is actually to tame flyways!!!

If I get any of the other products I'll give you more scoop on how I like them, but def check out this shampoo and conditioner!

To Sheer or Not to Sheer?

Those of you who know me know I hate wearing camisoles...in the past, if a shirt required one I just wouldn't buy it even if I really liked everything else about it...but recently I've been considering wearing sheer shirts with just a pretty bra underneath.  Of course there is a fine line between trashy and classy when it comes to this look, but if Mandy Moore can pull it off, why can't I?

I kind of love the outfit Helen Miren wore to the Arthur premier.  Normally I'm not a huge fan of that much animal print, but I think it works.  The outfit looks age appropriate on her but could also be worn by someone half her age.  Bravo Helen.

Watched "The Making of Water for Elephants" on HBO last night with Spencer and Alex and it made me even more excited to see the movie, I can't wait!!!

Blame It On Alex...

Alex send me the link for the Oxford Humane Society because we're going there next week and he has a friend that works there...I may or may not have filled out an application just in case.

Before you get too worried you should know that Alex will be going as my chaperone and won't let me get a dog just because she's cute...

I picked out this collar for my hypothetical dog because it supports Team in Training...

Of course I'll need the matching leash too.

I also think this set will look pretty good with this amazing handmade quilt I got for my birthday...more on that to come.

High waitsted, but looks great on! I'm going to wear it this weekend with a white shirt tucked in and some turquoise earrings!

Love this and I think my BFFs will too.  Comes in dark gray and purple too!

Another high waited skirt but this one is a bit fuller.  It has elastic rouching in the back you could wear it when you know you're going to have a big dinner and have some room to expand...plus it has side pockets!!!
