Anthropologie Item of the Week

Perf for work or play...the print is actually tiny little birds on a vine.

Don't know what I love so much about this dress, but I'm totally obsessed.

Love this one too...really unique print but it could def be dressed up and worn to a wedding.

Who Should Play Haymitch?

Let the games begin: After it was announced that Jennifer Lawrence – who received an Oscar nod for her rugged role in Winter's Bone this year – would once again rough it onscreen in the film adaptation of The Hunger Games, fans of the trilogy are abuzz about who will join her on the big screen.

As Lawrence, 20, prepares to flex her leading lady chops in the role of Katniss Everdeen, the feisty, dark-haired heroine in author Suzanne Collins's dystopian society, there are two other major roles up for grabs: Peeta Mellark, her love interest, who (mostly) stays by her side during the annual life-or-death Hunger Games, and Haymitch Abernathy, a Hunger Games champion with thick skin and an alcohol addiction – tokens of his survival.

With Hunter Parrish as the frontrunners to fill Peeta's shoes, who should step up for the role of Haymitch?

• Robert Downey Jr. has played the wise guy before, most recently in Sherlock Holmes, where he portrayed the iconic detective

• Hugh Laurie, whose no-nonsense portrayal of Dr. Gregory House seems like a perfect match

• Alan Rickman, better known as Harry Potter's Severus Snape, is no stranger to book-turned-movie franchises

• Jeff Bridges proved he can play the tough guy in the boots of True Grit's Rooster Cogburn, a role that earned him an Oscar nod

I'm Baaaacccckkkk!

Can you beleive this?!  What happened to Laura Marling?

Is Carey Mulligan off the market again?  The actress, 24, who split from Shia LaBeouf in late October, has reportedly moved on to fellow Brit, Marcus Mumford, lead singer for Grammy-nominated folk band Mumford & Sons.

The couple have recently been spending time together at Mumford's London home and in Buckinghamshire, England, according to the Daily Mail. The pair also spent last week in the Orkney Islands.

Last month, Mulligan was spotted looking cozy with Mumford, 25, during his band's gig at St. Magnus Cathedral in the U.K.

"They were kissing and cuddling in public," an onlooker from the night tells PEOPLE. "They were clearly very fond of each other. They were very, very affectionate to one another."

Mulligan, who otherwise kept a low profile at the show, "was very quiet and just kind of sat behind the scenes," says the onlooker.  Mulligan's rep had no comment.

For Like Ever

I've seen this poster on blogs all over the place and I kind of love it...especially in this pic.

It comes in all sorts of colors...you can buy it here: Super Rural

Fab Find Friday

I'm been thinking about getting a dry shampoo for awhile now and have read really good reviews about this one:

Here's the product description:
Recreates volume at the roots while refreshing style by absorbing oils for a fresh full look. Dry spray shampoo can be used anytime, anywhere.

Any one else have a good dry shampoo they like?

Fab Find Friday II

These were suposed to be the fab find two or three weeks ago, but I forgot to do a post about them...

Remember my beer staches?  Well I think these have replaced them as my new fav party favor.  Don't get me wrong, beer staches are great, but a lot of games require drinking out of cans or cups so the staches can't be used all that often, but these can!

You can buy them for 69 cents a piece here: Glow Source

Etsy Find

Forgot about this one in my last post...its not as bright as most of the colors at my house but I still really love it, especially for $22!

You can buy it here: Leah Duncan

I NEED This.

How cool would it be to have an old antique card catalog in your house to organize nic nacks?  From now on I'm going to be on the look out for one of these whenever I go into antique stores...it will probably cost and arm and a leg, but its such a great idea!

A Beautiful Gift and My Gallery Wall.

Katrina King got me this BEAUTIFUL painting from an Etsy store called The Wheatfield.

Art requires such personal tastes, I don't know how she got it so right, but she did, I just love it!  Its going to be part of a gallery wall I'm making in my condo.

I might also add this one from the same shop to my collection.

Need y'all's advice...is this one weird?  I think it would be kind of strange to have a portrait of a random in my house, but something keeps drawing me to it.

This is actually a letterpress card but it would add some size variety and I don't have anything floral for my gallery wall yet.

Another card...I love the coral color and the chevron print!

...And Another Thing I Want

I spent my entire bonus paying off my car this year, not glamorous or excited, but I know it was the best thing for me to do financially.

If I had not done that I would have bought a tiny diamond necklace for myself like the one this Parisian chick is wearing...you can't really see it in this pic because it is so little and so is the pic...go here if you want to see what I'm actually talking about.

FYI - Garance Dore is the Sartorialist's girlfriend...she's from France and so chic...her blog is a great read!

I've also had my eye on this right hand ring for a while now, it is SO pretty and sparkly in real like, but it too will have to wait for another year.

Short vs. Long

For most of my life I've had short hair but over the last 3 or 4 years I've been experimenting with longer lengths.  I really can't make up my mind which I like better on me...but when I see a celeb who chops her hair off and has a new cute do I usually want to do the same.  Alex has commented that he prefers long hair...I've been sending him pics like the examples below in attempts to change his mind just incase I ever get the itch to cut my hair off again, but I don't think its working.

Brooklyn Decker (Andy Roddick's wife/Sports Illustrated model)

If you don't know who she is you prob shouldn't be reading this blog.

These looks are so much more fun and spunky (kind of like me right?) than boring old long hair...how do these examples not change his mind?!

I Seriously Want to Be Her.

Anthropologie Item of the Week

Just the one little shirt was all I added to my wishlist this week...the number of items on my wishlist has hit an all time low, don't know what's going on, but it kind of makes me sad.

WHo Should Play Peeta

Now that Jennifer Lawrence has snagged the plum part of Katniss Everdeen in the post-apocalyptic saga The Hunger Games, who will play her fellow Games competitor and (possible) true love, Peeta?

As fans of the Suzanne Collins trilogy know, fiercely independent Katniss is at the heart of a love triangle with Peeta, a quietly courageous baker's son, and Gale, Katniss's childhood best friend and hunting partner. But when both Peeta and Katniss are forced to compete in the cruel Hunger Games, things between the two get especially complicated.

In the books, Peeta is described as having "ashy blond hair that falls in waves over his forehead," blue eyes and a muscular build from lifting huge bags of flour at his family's bakery. He is also a gifted artist who uses his talents to help charm a reluctant Katniss.

"He's good and nice in a world that's harsh and unkind," Lawrence, 20, tells Entertainment Weekly of her fondness for Peeta.

As for who should play him in the Hunger Games film, due in March 2012, a few young men immediately come to mind.

Who should play Peeta in the Hunger Games (these are People.com's picks)?

  •  Hunter Parrish (maybe)
  • Josh Hutcherson  (no)
  • Chord Overstreet (YES!!!)
  • Liam Hemsworth (def no)

Fab Find Friday II

These were suposed to be last week's fab find but I forgot to do a post about them...

Remember my beer staches? Well I think these have replaced them as my new fav party favor. Don't get me wrong, beer staches are great, but a lot of games require drinking out of cans or cups so the staches can't be used all that often, but these can...and they are only 69 cents so I can order like a million of them and not even feel bad about it!

Kid's Rooms

Call me carzy, but I really want my kids to have a tepee to play in.

Look! Another tepee.  Also loce the For Like Ever poster, the teal lamp the colorful run and the stools...what a fun playroom!

Wasn't I just saying how much I loved four poster beds?  This makes me want to go to an antique store, find a few beat up beds and turn them into something pretty.

I want my parents to have a bunk room at their next house for all the kids my brother and I will bess them with.

An alternative to a bunk room...this is someones attic!  Its sleeps 8 because trundel beds pull out!

A little boys room...like that its not cheesy...some people make kids rooms so lame and it makes me want to vom.

This is maybe more of a teenage boy's room, although I don't know what kind of teenage boy would sleep in twin beds.

Love it.  All the color, the art, the white bedding!

Love that they used a mirrored dresser between the beds instead of two night stands.  Love the mix of patterns too!

Love that this room isn't too girly...and those blown up pics, too cute!

Color, white bedding, the kid's artwork framed so it looks fancy...I like.

That Was Fast.

Did Ashley Greene get lucky on St. Patrick's Day?  The Twilight star, who just split from boyfriend Joe Jonas, celebrated the holiday with a new man: Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill.

"Good food. Good friends. Great day," Greene, 24, Tweeted, with no specific mention of Followill, 24.

Presumably on a break from filming the latest Twilight installment, Breaking Dawn, Greene, who was rocking green skinny jeans, was spotted at Phebe's Tavern & Grill in N.Y.C. with the Kings of Leon bassist.

The duo were also spotted together Monday night at Avenue nightclub in N.Y.C., where they partied until the wee hours of the morning. They left separately at 4 a.m. – and then met back up at her place, according to a source.

Followill was previously linked to Julianne Hough, with whom he cozied up in Nashville in 2009.

Birthday Plans

Guess what I'll be doing for my birthday in 2012?  Going to see this girl:

Jennifer Lawrence play Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games...because it comes out on March 23rd...MY BIRTHDAY!

Jennifer was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Winter's Bone this year, so the girl can act...I'll keep you posted on other developments, I can't wait to see who they pick for Peeta!

A Flair for Flare

I've been loving skinny jeans recently, but these pics from the Sartorialist totally make me want to dig up my old flare jeans and rock them right now!

Flop, Flop, Flop.

This pic makes me want to go buy a floppy hat and kiss somebody cute.

Fab Find Friday

My mom and dad have one of these, they are the coolest.  They come in all sorts of colors, shapes and sizes.  You just put a little bit of gel in the holder and then light it and it burns for ever, and its not smokey at all.  These would make great gifts this time of year because they also have citranella gel!  Here's a better/more repuitable discription, I'm ovbiously biased...I think these things are great!

Each fire pot and Napa Firelite design is a unique work of art. The craftsmanship, color and materials is stunning and the beauty of each fire pot will amaze and turn heads. Place your fire pots indoors or out and be amazed at how they light up a space. Enjoy a ceramic fire pot, personal fireplace or firelite on your deck, patio or indoors with the gel fuel that does not smoke or leave messy ashes. The fuel gel for each firepot and fireplaces burns very clean so it is completely safe for indoors. You will also find the Citronella Fuel Gel that works great outdoors for keeping the bugs away all summer!

Welcome to Splitsville

Guess the title "Bomus Jonas" won't be in her future anymore.

Watch Out for Heather Morris (aka Brittany S. Pierce)

Kind of makes me want to get extensions and put some red lipstick on.

Living Rooms and Dining Rooms

Don't have a wity title or a lot of pics for either of these so they're getting combined.

Love the colors and the layers.

Love the little garden stool between the chairs, the patter on the chairs, and look at the cris cross mat across the room!

The coffee table, the little ottoman, the beams, the pics in the back...love Emerson Made's Farmhouse!

Don't be weired out, but I stole thois one from a real estate listing...sometimes I look when I'm bored, I know its strange though.  Anyways, what I reall like about this is how versital it is...the ottoman could be pulled over and used for addtional seating or to prop your feet up on when you're on the couch.  The chairs at the other end could be pulled in a little to facilitate convo at a dinner party or left where they are, out of the way when they aren't in use...and I'd be that the TV is hidden in that armore...so much nicer than making it the focal point of your living room.

Love round tables and the industrialness of the chairs.  Also like the big 'W.'

A good Thanksgiving table setting.  The springs of greenery in the napkins are rosemary - what a nice touch.  The purple flower is mexican sage. Also like the little spray painted pumpkins and the table runner.

Zig zag rug, need I say more?

Love this type of chandy over a long table because it doesn't look too stuffy!

Like the idea more than the specific look of this room...check out that comfy chair at the end of the table and the couch/setee on the other side.
