Copco Cups

I was first introduced to these by Hardee...then I got a set of my own and became obsessed.  Now I have the hot cups and the cold cups in just about every color they come in.  It made me think they were even cooler when Madewell did a blog post about how all the girls in their office use them (yes, Madewell has a blog now...go check it out!).

The hot keeps coffee, tea, etc hot forever and bot cups come with silicone grippers which means your hand doesn't ever get hot or cold holding these cups.

I drink way more water at work than I used to when I use one of these cups and the cold ones are also great for smoothies!

You can buy them at Walmart, Target, or Bed, Bath & Beyond...go get yourself some, I highly recommend them!

Kroger Digital Coupons

I've never been one to clip coupons but y'all know how much I love a good deal...I think this idea is totally brill!

Go to the Kroger website and follow the instructions in the pic above.  Once your account is set up you can go through a list of coupons and add them to your card.  After that you just scan your card when you're checking out like usual and it will automatically know to use the coupons you have added to your account for the items you've purchased.

There is also a way to print a list of your coupons so you don't forget which ones you've added to your account!

FYI - Alex was the one who sent this life changing discovery to me...be sure to thank him the next time you see him...I'm sure he'd appreciate you buying him a PBR tallboy with all the money you save with Kroger's digital coupons!

Hunger Games Trailer

This makes me so excited!  Mark your calendars: March 23, 2012...my 25th birthday and the Hunger Games.  Y'all are all invited!

The Search for the Perfect Basket

Remember a few weeks ago when I said the picture of Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big's living room made me want to get a basket full of succulents for my own coffee table?  Well, I've been on the search for the perfect basket ever since!

I haven't quite been able to put into words exactly what I'm looking for or not looking for but I appreciate all the possibilities my friends have shown to me none the less...sorry I've turned down every option so far!

I came across this basket on the William's Sonoma website this morning and I have to say its a pretty close match for what I've been looking for: flat bottom, wire/metal, and rustic looking.  I'm heading home now to see if it will work...at 12 x 18 it might be a little too big for my apartment size coffee table.

How am I going to grow plants in it you might wonder seeing as soil will spill through the holes?  They are going to live in mason jars.  What a cute idea right?

Here Eggo is Preggo - Finally!

People have been spreading rumors that Beyonce was pregnant forever...now its actually true!

Anthropologie Items of the Week - Late Addition

Ever since I saw the pic from this post I've been wanting a pink maxi dress...the I saw this pic on Urban Grace today and I was sold.

Erika is wearing a pink maxi skirt in Better Homes and Gardens.  I love the way she styled it with the turquoise necklace.  Its not just any maxi skirt either...its this one from Anthro and its on sale!

Square Scarves

I've never worn square scarves before, but seeing this one from Madewell's fall collection kind of makes me want to!

Anthropologie Items of the Week

This beet jar is going to be Hardee's birthday present (sorry to ruin the surprise, it was too good to wait).  The beets will totally bring out the red tiles in her kitchen!

Anthropologie has such a sneaky way of making you feel like you're getting a "good deal."  This mirror was 600 and something dollars and now its on sale for the low, low price of $178!

I tend to gravitate to more flowy tunics usually, but I love the colors in this shirt!

I NEED These

Remember way back when when I wanted a horn necklace just like the one Gwyeneth Paltrow had?  Well I never found one.  But I did find these here.

Looks I Love.

I have a pair of short boots like this...come fall you might just see me pair them with cuffed pants, a Madewell t-shirt and a cardi just like this!

I can't believe I'm admitting this, but in high school I had a backless snakeskin print tank top.  I can't remember the name of the store I got it from but it was like a Forever 21 only skankier.  Anyways, ever since then I've had an aversion to anything snake skin.  But these pumps have me reconsidering them.  This pic is proof that snake skin can be done in a classy way!

Both these pics are from that Could I Have That blog I discovered recently!

Breakfast In Bed?

After seeing this pic I'm totally craving this breakfast...chorizzo, eggs and avocado = yummy!

A Fun and Easy DIY Project

I bought a can of chalkboard spray paint a while back and still haven't used it.  I might use it to make something like this...I think I would love the silly notes that I'm sure would be left on it!

Hair Inspiration

I'm going to do my hair just like this sometime soon!

PUPPY PUPPY PUPPY PUPPY!

Alex jokingly teased me about stopping by the Humane Society in Oxford when we were there last weekend. I don't know what it is, but they seriously have the cutest puppies all the time. Its a good think I said no, because I don't think I would have been able to leave without this little girl.

I know y'all have told me NO repeatedly about the whole puppy idea, but if she is still there when we go for Labor Day I'm probably not going to be able to resist at least meeting her!

Home Decor Inspiration

Does anyone recognize this living room?  It belongs to Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big.  Don't judge me, but I may or may not have some silk flowers in a vase on my coffee table. This pic made me want to replace them with a tray of succulents...you only have to water them every couple weeks and they'll look way better than fake flowers!

I'm totally in love with the idea of a window seat in the kitchen!  How great would it be for people to be able to sit here and chat with you while you're cooking in a kitchen like this?

Not So Stewie Puss Puss

This is Kristen Stewart on the cover of the most recent W magazine...I know its prob very air brushed...but can you believe its her?

On a completely unrelated note - I went to Ann Taylor Loft today to do some birthday shopping for my mom and they actually had some really cute new stuff for fall...I used to shop their a lot but in years passed I just haven't been too impressed with their stuff.  I was going to post a few pics of my fav items, but their stylists are terrible and made everyone of them look frumpy and awful in their pics online.  You'll just have to go to the store and check out their new collection for yourselves.

Anthroplogie Item of the Week

Just one little cardi this week, but it made me very excited about all the stuff that will be coming out very soon for fall...I can't wait!

Could I Have That?

Remember that pic of the bedroom with the driftwood wreath?  This girl lives there.

I started looking at old post on her blog yesterday and I couldn't make myself stop.  If you're looking for a new style blog to follow, consider this one: Could I Have That?

I knew I'd be a fan when I saw this morning's post about the new Banana Republic Mad Men collection (I've been watching season 1 on Netflix this summer and plan to be all caught up when the new season comes out in 2012)...it's in stores starting today if you feel like dressing up like Betty Draper this weekend you can go get your very own outfit!

Only the sweater is from the collection.  Its so Joan.  I also love those booties....and the shades too.  Ever since I lost my Ray Bans earlier this summer I've been wanting a new pair and I'm strongly considering going with the over sized style like these.

I Would Do Laundry A Lot More...

If I had colorful barn doors hiding my laundry closet.

Someday...

Someday I'm going to have a nursery like this one.

Here's what I love about it:

1. Its not juvenile.  I totally get that you have to be age appropriate when raising kids, but some people take it too far.  My kids will never have a Dora the Explorer themed room...or whatever the cool cartoon is when they finally come into this world.

2. Its not gender specific.  In my head this means you can splurge a bit more because what works for baby #1 can be used again for baby number two even if one is a boy and one is a girl.  You can always swap out a few pillows or decorative pieces to make it a little more gender specific if you wanted to but its certainly not a requirement in my mind.

3.  The room doesn't look bare.  I've seen so many nurseries that look pretty much like empty rooms...this one looks full.  Why not have a couch in the nursery?  Maybe mama wants to spread out and relax ok?

4. Other randoms...the paint color.  The bookshelves framing the crib - genius!  The art is colorful yet grown up...who knows they could have plucked it from another room in their house and they can put it right back there when its time to upgrade to a children's room.  Roman shades seem like a good idea for this room too and I love how the pic between the windows overlaps the actual windows...because how hard is it sometimes to find art you like that is the exact size you need for a given space!

5. I don't particularly care for that little furry rug under the ottoman (what is it doing there, really?) but that could easily be removed.

Peach Bread Pudding

I whipped this up for Andrew's going away dinner.  Susan said "It was the best dessert she's ever had...even at a fine dining establishment."  Who know how many glasses of wine she'd had when she said that, but I must admit, it was pretty tasty.  Here's the recipe!

Ingredients:
3 whole Eggs
3 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
2 Tablespoons Vanilla
2-½ cups Half-and-Half, Or Milk
2 cups Sugar
2 cups Fresh Peaches, Pitted And Diced
1 pound Sourdough Bread, 1" Cubed
½ cups Pecans, Chopped (optional)

½ cups Butter
1 cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 whole Egg
3 Tablespoons Rum, Or To Taste

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
2. In a large bowl beat 3 eggs, add 3 tablespoons melted butter, 2 tablespoons vanilla, and 2 1/2 cups half and half.
3. Add 2 cups sugar slowly, stirring until it is dissolved.
4. Add peaches and bread, mixing well. Allow mixture to soak into bread 30 minutes.
5. Spread a bit of butter in a 9 X 13 X 2-inch pan or dish.
6. Pour in the bread mixture, and sprinkle on pecans if using.
7. Bake uncovered 50 to 60 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
8. For rum sauce: Cream 1/2 cup butter with 1 cup sugar. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir in 1 egg, then add rum. Stir over low heat for about 5 minutes. Serve warm over individual servings of pudding.

The recipe came from Tasty Kitchen...such a good source for recipes!

Voice of Reason 2

Remember this pic from the post where I wrote about how Alex told me he was thinking about getting a tattoo because he assumed I'd say bad idea but instead I said go for it...well, I can't stop thinking about it and now I kind of want to get a tattoo, well really two, myself.

Before you go crazy...remember all those puppies I was just sure I was going to get?  I'm still not a pet owner am I?  I'm trying to really think through this since its permanent and all so this idea might pass along with all the adorable puppies I found over the last year.  What are y'all thoughts?

I think these tattoos would be sweet and quirky...kind of like me.  And the wouldn't be super visible/obvious...but I'm still trying to decide if I would want them F-O-R-E-V-E-R.

Design Inspiration

Did y'all think I went on vacation again without telling you?  Nope.  I just haven't been coming across a whole lot of blog worthy stuff recently...and I've been having to work. Hard.

Here are a few design pics I've saved recently.  I have no idea where they came from but if you really want to know I can probably track it down.  I know Katrina is going to read this and think that is the exact reason I should get on Pintrest...I know, I know, someday I'm going to get with the program and start Pining.

So...I know this is clearly a fire pit intended for the beach but I kind of like it for the backyard too...I'm not sure why you'd ever move your fire pit all that much but I like the idea of mobility none the less.  I also like the industrial look and feel.  I know I'm getting a little bit ahead of myself seeing as I don't even have a house with a yard, but at least I'm being realistic and not putting up a pic of a full on outdoor fireplace...for now.

I've always had a fascination with Moroccan star light fixtures...this one wouldn't let off a whole lot of light but I still think its cool.  When I live in Boone one of the houses on King Street had a glass Moroccan star light on the stoop over their front door...I loved it and will have a house I can do it at some day!

I have no idea what kind of tree that is, but I want one...if it came in a hammered oil rubbed bronzed pot like the one in the picture I'd like that a whole lot too!

I don't love these per say, but I've really been loving the idea of bedside lights that are attached to the wall rather than taking up space on the bedside table.

I want NEED a breakfast nook like this someday...only my chairs would be cuter and way more comfortable!  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the tufted sectional and bright colors though!

I really like that drift wood wreath over the bed...I started following that girl's blog after I saw this pic...I'll let you know if it ends up being one worth checking on a regular basis!

Surprise They're Getting Married!

Childhood pen pals in London, actress Carey Mulligan and singer Marcus Mumford lost touch long ago, but a recent reunion renewed more than friendship

After five months together, the Mumford & Sons singer, 24, popped the question to the Never Let Me Go star, 26. "They're a great couple," a pal tells the new issue of Us Weekly (out now). "Very sweet."

Things first got serious when Mulligan and pal Jake Gyllenhaal caught a secret Mumford & Sons show in Nashville, Tenn. February 7, at the home of band members from The Apache Relay.

"At the end of the night there were just the musicians, Jake, Carey, and the Mumford boys," an insider told Us at the time. "We had some pizza, and just played music. Jake picked up a guitar and Carey joined in on 'Amazing Grace.' Marcus and Carey seemed really friendly."

A few days later, Mulligan and Mumford caught a secret Arcade Fire show in NYC before hitting up a private members only club, a second insider told Us.

Oscar-nominated Mulligan split with longtime beau Shia LaBeouf last October; Mumford broke up with singer Laura Marling in late 2010.

Ehhh...I don't know if I completely believe this, but thanks to my front row tickets I can confirm that Carry Mulligan did watch M&S's show in Atlanta from the side of the stage because I saw her there with my own two eyes!

Flower Power

I kind of love this outfit Rachel Bilson wore to a CW premier party.  The bright red pants are very on trend and I actually like the way she mixed the floral print shirt with the animal print pumps...not just anyone could pull this look off!  I also think the shoes are just the right amount of animal print to still look classy and not trashy!

On a side note...did you guys know Rachel Bilson is going to have a new show on the CW?  I saw a quick preview for it and it doesn't look too exciting.  Basically she's a doctor from NYC who moves to a small town in Alabama...I'd like to hope its going to be a good show, but at this point I'm a little bit doubtful.

Super Mario on the NYC subway

This one goes out to Hardee...rock out in your Luigi pants!

Anthropologie Items of the Week

This weeks items are extra special because they are all on sale...so there is no reason you shouldn't go to your closest Anthropologie right away and get them for your self!

This cute top is only $39.99...pair it with skinny jeans and wedges for a night out on the town!

I've told you about my weakness for teardrop earrings right?  The coral color of these made me immediately think of Katrina!  The best thing about them...they're only $29.99!

Rather than show you the product pic for these shorts, I decided to go with the model pic so you can see how cute they are on...they're the ones on the left.  They look black and white in this pic but they are actually dark gray.  I'm pretty sure I could wear them with each and ever Madewell t-shirt I own and in this heat shorts are so much more appealing than jeans...especially when they are only $29.99!
