I kind of want to see this movie.

Mad About Mad Men
Banana Republic is coming out with a Mad Men inspired clothing line...it make me want to talk Alex into dressing up as Don and Betty Draper for Halloween but there is no way he's going to do another smooth shave again any time soo so I might have to come up with an alternative. Look how cute we could look though:
I know you're thinking that Alex will never be willing to get this dressed up...but you have no idea how much he loves Mad Men.
A little too stuffy for a Halloween party but I love the way her scarf
I NEED THESE!
Yet another pic from Cup of Jo. When I got back from Iowa I had 602 blog post waiting for me to read, that's right SIXHUNDREDANDTWO!
I caught up on all the good ones like Comprising Kate, Urban Grace and Cup of Jo first so forgive me for having so many inspiration post from the same blog for you.
Apparently these are called Salt Water sandals. I love them. I need them. Seriously.
Do you think I need a pair like these red ones to wear with a black maxi dress to the Georgia vs. Ole Miss game this fall? I do.
Voice of Reason
Alex always tells me the most off the wall things thinking I'll be his voice of reason and talk him out of it. Wrong.
A few weekends ago we were at Urban Outfitters buying friendship bracelets...a different story all together so back to the point...he told me he wanted to buy a tank top thinking I'd tell him he'd look silly in it...instead I told him to go for it. He can pull off things other people can't so I feel like if he wants to rock a new style he should.
Then a week or two ago he told me he was thinking about getting a tattoo...all though he prob wasn't that serious about it. I listened to what he wanted, where he wanted it and of course said go for it again. I think the right tattoos can be kind of sexy and I think his tattoo idea is well thought through and not something he'd regret.
I probably wouldn't ever get a tattoo but I kind of liked these hearts on the back of this girls ankles...another pic from Cup of Jo.
Looks I Love
Doesn't Gwyneth look so young and fresh in this outfit? I'm pretty sure I could recreate something similar from things I already have in my closet!
I don't have anything quite like this but every girl needs a little black dress right? This looks like it would show off good curves and hide bad curves...exactly what I need!
Anthropologie Item of the Week
I'm back from a quick visit to Iowa and promise to start posting regularly again starting right now!
The colors and style of this shirt caught my eye and then I saw that little ribbon peeking over the shoulder and discover the back...this shirt is def going on my wishlist!

I swear I haven't been neglecting you...I just haven't really come across anything blog worthy but here is a little something...
I saw this print on DESIGNLOVEFEST and it struck a cord with me because the longer my hair gets, the messier it gets for some reason...but I'm learning to like the mess.

Let's Hear it for the Boys!
I came across this pic the other day on a blog called 'A Cup of Jo' and it caught my attention for several reasons:
1. The high waisted flairs look strikingly similar to a pair I just bought from Madewell.
2. My beloved Ray Bans have gone missing and seeing a pair on this girl made me sad.
3. That very shirt is hanging in Alex's closet...ok, well its actually wadded up in the clean clothes pile he keeps on his floor which I will never understand, but still...its part of his wardrobe and straight of the J.Crew clearance rack.
It made me think...men's clearance always has small sizes since most men need mediums or larger so maybe I'll start shopping men's clearance sales for myself if I can find plaid shirt for $9.99 and look as cute as the girl pictured above in them!
Get Excited Muggles!
Optimism, Muggles!
With the final screen installment of the Harry Potter saga set to hit theaters next month, fans of the beloved boy wizard have braced themselves for what seems like the end – or is it?
Author J.K. Rowling launched a website, Pottermore.com, and although it seems promising for Potter fans, the purpose of the project is as mysterious as Voldemort's fate.
"The owls are gathering," reads a statement on a YouTube page linked from the site. "Find out why soon."
A Twitter account for the site also blasts the same message, but a rep for Rowling, 45, was mum about what exactly the author is conjuring.
Rowling's spokesperson told the BBC that the project was not "directly related" to the final film, which arrives in theaters July 15, or a new book. "We are not saying anything more at the moment."
Potter enthusiasts should know by Thursday what the project entails, according to a countdown in the video. For now, all that's available on the site, which was revealed to fans through an online scavenger hunt, is a "coming soon" banner bookmarked by owl graphics.
The trademark for Pottermore was filed in July 2009 – two years after the final book was released – so it seems like Rowling had the idea on the back burner. This begs the question: Are Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint in on it?

Madewell Items of the Week
Anthropologie's new arrivals were a let now once again this week...I don't know if my tastes are changing or if they just haven't been getting good stuff in.
Either way I decided to share what I added to my Madewell wishlist instead this week. They don't add new stuff as often as Anthro so I doubt I'll do this every week...but I'll def try to keep you updated when they do add new stuff.

Love the back of this shirt...the front is a simple scoop neck. Also comes in white and olive.
This dress is just so versatile. It also comes in a really pretty purple color but the model in the pic wearing it looks like a total frumpadinka.
Blue and black tunic? Yes please! I want it to wear with black leggings next time I travel!
I've Gone Mobile!
Blogger informed me about a new setting this morning that will make for a better viewing experience when you catch up on That's What Kenworthy Said from a mobile phone...I hope y'all like it!

Pretty Girl
I saw footage from this event this morning on Good Morning America (which is way better than the Today Show Katrina) and said "She looks sooooo pretty!"
Alex replied, "She a pretty girl, she always looks pretty."
This is true but doesn't she look exceptionally radiant here? I sure think so!
Fab Find Friday...
Every girl is always on the hunt for the perf mascara. I personally am very satisfied with my $7 Cover Girl mascara right now (any variety, I've pretty much used them all and liked them) but I'm intrigued by the mascaras that coat your lashes so well it comes off in little tubes. I've heard of Maybelline's version called Falsies and Trish McEvoy has a version too but this really caught my attention:
When it comes to mascara, too many brands seem to follow a "bigger brush, better lashes" philosophy. More often, an oversize brush gives gloppy results. But Benefit's new "They're Real" mascara is worth trying — it trumps Maybelline's Falsies line, as well as pricier brands. The staggered bristles are stiffer than a typical wand, lengthening and separating lashes like an eyelash brush instead of mashing them together under the guise of "volume." The effect is rather glamorous, leaving lashes dark, feathery, and clump-free. (One note: watch the eye rubbing in summer heat; it's not waterproof.) The mascara is available in advance today only at Sephora Times Square; otherwise, you'll have to wait for it to hit shelves next month.

10 Points for Kenworthy!
I own the same green REI cooler pictured here with Toby Maguire!
I love it, it keeps stuff cold forver and compresses way down when you're not using it.
10 cool points for Kenworthy for having the same cooler as a celeb (as in 10 points to Gryffindor).
The Pipparettes
Pippa Middleton's friends have been dubbed the Pipparettes by the British media. This makes me think my friends need a collective name too...any suggestions?
Anthropologie Items of the Week
Dresses...surprise, surprise.
I love dresses like this since you can just throw simple accessories and walk out the door looking totally put together...plus its blue, the color of the year.
I am def getting this...it will transition into fall so perfectly if you just add black tights and a cardi!
I also love the silhouettes on both of these...I used to go for more a-lined skirts and dresses but I've been loving more fitted stuff recently!

Oh, Hey Rob.
I sent this pic to Alex today because Rob is wearing a Carhart jackent and I thought it might make him admit that Rob is not so bad. It worked just a little.
Hooray for Hardee!
This pic describes Hardee no more...except for the sunnies.
After successful eye surgery she has 20/20 vision, hooray!

Four Movies for the Hunger Games
Convinced that it has the makings of a hit franchise, Lionsgate is planning to spin the three books in Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games trilogy into four feature films -- a la the extended film adaptations of the Twilight trilogy and the Harry Potter novels.
"The property is generating tremendous buzz and excitement, and it all points to a major Lionsgate franchise in the making," CEO Jon Feltheimer said during an analysts' call Wednesday.
The Hunger Games, the first film in the series, which is set in a post-apocalyptic world where teams of teens compete for their lives in an annual TV event, started production last week in North Carolina and is slated for release March 23.
Joe Drake, Lionsgate's motion picture group president, said the title was the studio's highest-selling film when it was offered for international sales at the recent Cannes Film Market.
He added that while the Hunger Games books have sold mostly in North America, they are starting to penetrate the international market, raising the movies' box office potential overseas.
"We have distributors who consider this as their big brand next year, the movie that can change their company," Drake said.
Although the film has attracted a high-profile cast -- which includes hot new talents like Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Banks as well as established names like Donald Sutherland and Woody Harrelson -- Lionsgate said it held the line on the back-end payouts it offered to bring them on board.
"Our business affairs did an extraordinary job. Although everyone is being treated fairly, we do retain the upside in all of the pictures," Drake said.

Jennifer Anniston's New Man
I can't help but think that he kind of looks like Alex...and of course I look quite a bit like Jennifer Aniston...guess I know who we'll be going as for Halloween this year.
Landscape Inspiration
Katrina got a hydrangea plant from Slim as a house warming gift...I hope it ends up looking just like these, aren't they amazing!
Some day I want to have a house with a long driveway lined with giant potted hydrangeas just like this!
New Balance Hiking Boots?
New Balance just came out with a hiking boot...they're even selling them at J.Crew. Here's a little expert about them from the designer...
Tell us about the 710. What was your hope when originally designing the boot—was there a void you were looking to fill, something that you felt was missing from all the other boots out there?
There was definitely a void. Conventional thinking at the time dictated that climbers wear rigid boots to support the ankle and prevent it from rolling. But a stiff boot is like a corset for your ankle—it constricts the muscles and actually prevents them from developing and building up strength. And the reality is that all a climber really needs—even when carrying a 60- or 80-lb. pack—is to not slip. A boot with good traction and some stiffness in the sole is the key, and the more lightweight it is, the better. That’s why the New Balance 710 was such a breakthrough.
I kind of love this idea. I had the most awesome pair of hiking boots that I got way back when I was in high school. Sadly they failed to make it through one of my many moves in college but I haven't been able to make myself buy a new pair because most boots make me feel like a lesbian...I'm feeling pretty optimistic about these though!

Anthropologie Items of the Week
Guess I should have saved that white shirt I posted about earlier in the week because I didn't add any other clothing to my wishlist.
I did however add several rugs. I have a Major thing for antique Turkish rugs right now, especially if they are over dyed or in bright colors...so its a good thing Anthro decided to support my every whim and fancy and come out with a few rugs of their own that match this description.

Bella and Edward's Wedding Deets
Twi-hards everywhere are already setting their DVRs for Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards, which will premiere the first clip from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I. Just to bait us a little more, MTV released a 15-second teaser for Sunday’s big reveal. It’s a snapshot of Bella and Edward’s gorgeous wedding day, and while it’s only a snippet, there’s much to be learned! Here are the wedding facts we derived:
• BELLA’S DRESS: Bella’s wedding dress is long-sleeved and fitted at the top.
• HAIR ACCESSORIES: Bella’s hair is pulled back into a vintage-style comb with blue and white crystals at the top of her veil. We know from the book this is most likely her “something borrowed” from her parents. “‘Something old, too. They were your Grandma Swan’s,’ Charlie added. ‘We had a jeweler replace the paste stones with sapphires.’ Inside the box were two heavy silver hair combs. Dark blue sapphires were clustered into intricate floral shapes atop the teeth.” —Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
• THE MAN: Edward looks entirely too handsome in his tuxedo waiting for Bella under the gorgeous arch of flowers.
• NO MANICURE: Bella opted to leave her nails polish-less.
• IT’S OUTSIDE: The setting for the nuptials is just as Bella describes it in the book, except they moved it outside the Cullen home. ”I was distracted by the profusion of white blossoms that hung in garlands from everything in the room… dripping with long lines of white gossamer ribbons. But I tore my eyes from the bowery canopy and searched across the rows of satin-draped chairs… until I found him at last, standing before an arch overflowing with more flowers.” —Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
AAAAHHHHH...so exciting!!!!!!!!

I Die for Gray Totes
I've wanted a gray tote for a long time...fortunately for my budget this want slipped off my radar for a while until I spotted this gem at the mall last night while shopping for a wedding present with Alex at Macy's:
Its Coach so I didn't dare look at the price tag in front of him since he already thinks my shopping habits are a bit redic, but I looked it up this morning - $698...yikes.
It makes this one from J.Crew look like a steal for just $258. If it goes on sale I'm not sure I'll be able to resist buying it. I like that its a little edgier and not so stuffy compared to the Coach version.
If one of you wanted to send it to me as a surprise I'd be delighted to find it on my doorstep one day after work...just saying...I think my half birthday is coming up any day now right?
