Craving a Little Mary Jane

I came across this pic on Pinterest today and it kind of made me want a pair of Mary Janes.

With this outfit they look good, but they also kind of remind me of my first grade self...I rocked some patent leather Mary Janes back in the day.

I found both these option on Zappos.

The one above I like, but the strap isn't has high so I'm not sure it would achieve a similar look.

The platform on these may be a little much.

More than likely I'll never come across the right pair.  It sure would be nice to have a strap to keep my shoes on when I'm wearing tights all winter long.

Liking me also worries me that I'm getting a little too Asheville in my fashion sense...my Atlanta self never would have considered these I'm pretty sure.

Photo Dump

More plaid bedding.  I think this would be good for a guest room or a little boy's room.  I like it, but I'm not sure I'd want it in my own room.

Love the style of this screen door.  Its the same house that had that brass outside lantern.

Setee love.  Its Erika from Urban Grace's daughter and furniture.  I really wish she would post pics of her house post renovation because I love every little glimpse I get of it!

Let There Be Light!

Last time I posted I was all about bedding.  This week I've been saving all kinds of lighting inspiration.

Love this outside fixture.

Simple globe, I actually think I like fixtures that make more of a statement.  Probably what really drew me to this pic was the setee...vintage, velvet, oxblood, what's not to love.

Loving the lantern style after visiting the Ford house!

Also the built ins and the lights above them.

I know this style is all over all the blogs and Pinterest, I just can't remember if they are normally brass.  I like the brass.

The bedroom is where the magic happens...

I'm referring to a makeover...get your mind out of the gutter.

Recently I've been saving all kinds of bedroom inspiration pictures, I think its my way of subconsciously telling my self its time to get rid of the bright green accents I put in my single girl room and go for something that is a little more suitable for my current domestic partnership.

Plaid and strips.  I love it and Alex would too.  This pic makes it look easy to pull off, but I think it might be harder than I think.

I just love all these pillows.

Chartreuse day bed love.  Not going to happen in my room, but I'll file it away for a kid's room.

I think I'll go for a bolder plain, but there is still something about this room that I really like.

After having to make up a bunk bed as an adult I've vowed to never own one. I was sweating by the time I made up both beds the process involved quite a bit of climbing and stretching.  I do like the idea of twin beds running down the length of a long room.  The drawers below the bed could be used for storage or for trundle beds because let's be honest, I love a good slumber party room.

Anthropologie Items of the Week

Love this peplum top.  I was going to hold off on it, but I just had to add it to my cart today to qualify for free shipping.

Love these so much.  I might have to tell Alex that this is what he's getting me for Christmas.

Time for a photo dump...

So, as most of you know I changed jobs a while back.  I'm loving my new job but it keeps me busy, real busy.  I'm constantly behind on Pinterest and blogs and as a result my own blog is suffering...but I'm going to try to get back into posting a little more regularly.  Here is a photo dump of all the things I've been saving to share with you...

Love this for a Christmas party invite.

1. At first I thought this was a pic of Kimberly.

2. Love that garland.  Perf for holiday festivities.

Love this stocking.

My fam needs new ones...Hardee, I might be telling my mom to request that you make some if you're willing to.

Still loving thin gold pic frames.

Baby Carhartt overalls...cold there be anything cuter?

Someday I will have a dinner party as classy as this.

These boots.

When I save them I was just lusting over them.  I was trying to decide between motorcycle boots and cowboy boots, and then I found these.  The perfect combo of both.

Then a 25% off all boots on Amazon coupon found its way to my inbox and I couldn't resist.  I talked my mom into letting them be a Christmas present but had them sent to my house to make sure I liked them and they fit.  I'm not technically allowed to wear them until Christmas, but sometimes I secretly wear them around the house when I'm by myself because I love them so much.

Randoms

I'm getting lazy so these unrelated pics are all going in one post...

Love her necklaces.

Confetti in balloons...a festive addition to any celebration.

Sorry this one is sideways, I can't figure out how to rotate it.  This was on the back cover of a catalog I got recently and it made me want to do it to Sadie, even though she would be terrified by it.

Home Decor Inspiration

I want to go away from using wooden frames and move towards gold ones.  I like that most of these are really simple frames, but I also like that they incorporated a few that are a little chunkier and more ornate.

So, we were looking at a house in Montreat to rent and it had this tiny little breakfast area in the kitchen.  I already have 3 kitchen tables and I couldn't justify buying another one for a rental house but this pic made me think I could get a cheap little one and put a table cloth on it to hide it.  This little table looks pretty classy right, and I bet its not a fancy table hiding under there!

This pic made me want some velvet pumpkins so I never have to deal with pumpkins getting old an moldy on my table.  Terrain has a good selection, but Etsy has even more for reasonable prices.

More gold frames.  This also has me considering a sectional.  Not now, but some day.  Part of me is against them because they limit the way a room can be set up, but the other part of me likes how much seating they can provide and the fact that Alex and I could both stretch out on it if it were just the two of us sitting on it.

While we're on the subject of weddings...

I'm loving "naked" cakes, especially with berries like this one.

And I think this center piece is really sweet - dainty wild flowers and candles on a tree sliver...like.

Stone Fox Bride

Y'all.  I'm obsessed.  Follow Stone_Fox_Bride on Instagram.  The post the rings of all their customers and they are amazing.  Seriously.  Here are a few of my favs...

I used to always think I wanted tiny pave diamonds on the band, but this has me seriously rethinking that...a halo AND pave on the band might be a little to much.  I also love the black diamond band next to it, it makes a very traditional engagement ring somehow look a little bit edgy right?!

This one doesn't even have a halo (although I'm sure the bezel does the same thing and makes it look bigger than it really is) and I still love it.  I love that it is a little rustic too.

This one is very different, very art deco.  I'm not sure I'd wear it, but I do love looking at it!
