The Help
It looks like The Help doesn't need much more help!
Casting for the big-screen adaptation of writer Kathryn Stockett's debut novel is nearly complete, according to Entertainment Weekly. Allison Janney was recently slotted to take the role of Charlotte Phelan, mother to plucky heroine Skeeter Phelan (Emma Stone), who rounds out the female-driven cast.
Janney and Stone join Oscar-nominee Viola Davis as determined maid Aibileen Clark, Ugly Betty's Octavia Spencer as her tough-talking pal, maid Minny Jackson, and Bryce Dallas Howard in another slightly villainous role as Hilly Holbrook, Skeeter's snooty adversary.
Though no one from our dream cast made the short list, there are still a few pivotal parts to be filled, including Elizabeth Leefolt, Aibileen's employer and Skeeter's friend.
What do you think of the casting? Do you have suggestions for other unfilled roles?
Here is People's dream cast... http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20349017,00.html
Personally I love Anne Hathaway as Hilly and Claire Danes as Skeeter...but I could have guessed that Oprah wouldn't be down.
