Amazing news for Anthropologie addicts (I know there's others out there besides me!): Next week, the eclectically chic chain store will open its first accessories-only boutique...
The stand-alone store (which still doesn't have a name) will open its doors on October 29 in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and will offer 1,400 square feet of shoes, costume baubles, antique jewelry, hats, scarves, and belts. According to a company press release, "In true Anthropologie spirit, the store promises an engaging shopping experience full of surprise and discovery. We have taken care to hand-pick special, rare and unique items while also offering seasonal staples."
Translation? You'll find antique engagement and wedding rings from Doyle & Doyle, sexy shoes from Chie Mahara, cute and quirky hats by Eugenia Kim, and plenty of pieces designed both exclusively for Anthropologie and by their in-house design team. "We are creating a more intimate experience for our customer," says Wendy Wurtzburger, Co-President and Chief Merchandising Officer of Anthropologie. "It will be the equivalent of going down the rabbit hole and finding a magical world with more of what she loves--tactile and rich--wonderful to shop and ponder."
And don't fret if you're miles from Maryland--there are plans to roll out more Anthropologie accessories boutiques in the near future, though details on where and when aren't available quite yet.
