Weird News

I love weird news...here's the most recent story that caught my eye:

It took Robin Hendrickson and Erik Brandsness a few years to realize their cat, Stewie, was longer than most – and now they can say he's the longest cat in the world.

Last week, Stewie, a 5-year-old Maine Coon cat who lives with his family in Reno, Nev., was certified by Guinness World Records as the world's longest domestic cat.

"We realized that Stewie was exceptionally long about three years ago," Hendrickson told the Reno Gazette-Journal. "Everyone says, 'Wow what a long cat!' "

Stewie measures 48 ½-inches from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail, and just nipped past the previous record-holder, a cat measuring just 48-inches.
