Prez Snow
The Hunger Games has elected its leader: Veteran actor Donald Sutherland has been cast as sinister President Snow in the film adaptation of in the dystopian trilogy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Sutherland's character is described as "cruel and ruthless in his intimidation and control tactics – especially toward Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen.
Knot Your Average Ponytail
I seriously don't know what is with me and having rat's nest hair these days, but I think this is the coolest idea and now that my hair is getting a bit longer I'm totally going to try it out.
More Hair Inspiration
Fun and easy.
So pretty, but it looks like it requires more skill than I have.
Thinking about doing something like this for Derek and Jennifer's rehearsal dinner this weekend.
My thighs are more intimate, with each other.
Sorry if some of these are repeats...they are from the day I posted a whole bunch but blogger wasn't working and took them down so I'm reposting.
I just started following this blog and am totally in love with it...I'll post more on it later, but I just had to share this pic and comment with you..."I have that sweater. and sometimes my hair is that color. My thighs are more intimate, with each other."
What a great way to say you have big thighs...so much better than the girl who was helping me try on bridesmaid dresses at J.Crew yesterday who told me my upper thighs and butt were disproportinatley large compared to the rest of my body.
Love This Look!
Technically I should wait to post this on Thursday since its an Anthro new arrival, but I couldn't wait to share because I love the whole look...hair, shirt, shorts, bracelet, bike with basket, I die.

Airport Style
People.com does a photo gallery of what celebs wear when they travel and I kind of love it. These were my two favs from this week:
I always bring scarves with me on planes these days since airplane blankets have gotten so lame.
LOVE her cardigan/jacket thing...I have no idea what to call it. I was at Madewell the other day and they had similar ones but they were thin scarf like material in the coolest prints...I've been stalking their website so I can show y'all but they aren't up there yet.
I also kind of like her skeleton t-shirt even though skeleton graphic tees usually seem a little too Ed hardy to me...its long, baggy and looks comfy.
Legging are great to travel in too...super comfy but you still look put together when wearing them...no need to rock a Juicy sweat suit ladies!
Her only flaw, the boots. I don't know if I'd wear boots on a plane; I like to be able to kick my shoes off and get comfortable!
Gwyneth always looks fab while traveling...she's on the same page as Dianna Agron with the scarf, light jacket, t-shirt and boots.
Now I just need someone to whisk me away on a vacay!
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I'm digging this pic this morning...probably because I'm a legit bike rider now (Alex taught me how to use the gears on my bike the other night!)
That's all for now.
Anthropologie Items of the Week
Sorry for the lack of posts yesterday, blogger wasn't cooperating and wouldn't let me put ant new post up. Here are my Anthropologie items of the week...
I really want a romper. I've tried several but they never seem to work...maybe this will be the one.
I saw this dress and liked the colors and the print...
then I saw the back and completly fell in love with it.
I don't have a striped scarf, but I'm pretty sure I need this one.

Kim Kardashian is Engaged
Check out this bling...the 16.5-carat emerald cut center stone is flanked by a pair of 2-carat trapezoids, for a total weight of 20.5 carats...I love big diamonds, but this is a bit redic if you ask me.
Her fiance is some NBA player...Kris Humphries or something like that...I'm sure it will be a long lasting marriage.
Cinna
Lenny Kravitz has always had a unique sense of style – and now he's taking on the role of stylist in The Hunger Games.
Kravitz will play the character of Cinna, who designs eccentric, crowd-pleasing costumes for protagonist Katniss Everdeen, to be portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence in the upcoming film, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The musician-actor is joining the likes of Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Banks in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of Suzanne Collins's sci-fi novel.
Kravitz's performance as a nurse in Precious got the attention of director Gary Ross.
The first installment of the best-selling triology hits theaters in March 2012.

WHITE JEANS!!!
Sorry for the lack of posts...I was crazy busy at work last week and I had a medical emergency yesterday. It's kind of embarrassing so I wasn't going to share it, but I don't want anyone worrying that I'm on my death bed.
I get strange cravings quite frequently, yesterday it was for Ramen. I took the boiling hot water out of the microwave with a little too much zeal and ended up sloshing scalding hot water all over my hands. Since I'd never burned myself I had no idea how to handle the situation. I kept my hand under cold running water for the rest of my lunch break because that was the only thing I could think of to do to alleviate the burning but as soon as I turned the water off I was in excruciating pain again.
I called my doctor's office to see if I should just suck it up, but they said it sounded like I needed to come in to get it checked out. So, naturally I felt like I needed a little retail therapy following this incident.
As you know, I've been dying for a pair of white jeans but can't seem to find any that don't make my legs look like saussages stuffed into casing or that aren't see through.
I made a pit stop at Gap to look for some new intimates (Gap Body always has great sale stuff) and came across these. They are the long and lean cut in white wash (obviously). I went up a size bigger than what I normally wear because because no one wants to be seen in too small white jeans and they fit like a dream...they are actually flattering.
I was so proud of my purchase that I pointed out to Alex that I hadn't spent more than $100 on jeans in at least two years. After I got started with designer jeans I figured I'd never go back to anything else because they fit so good and look so good on, but for trendier styles like boyfriend jeans, skinny jeans and now white jeans I like to find an affordable pair to see if I like them before making the investment in designer jeans. Its hit or miss but usually Gap, Ann Taylor Loft or Madewell will have a version I like at a price I'm willing to spend to try the style out...and a lot of times I get more compliments on my cheap jeans than I do on the expensive ones!

Anthropologie Items of the Week
Green, plaid, and super light weight? Yes please!
I think this needs to be paired with cut offs or distressed jeans so it doesn't look to sweet...but I really like it!
Can't quite put my finger on what I like about these, but I do.
KATNISS!
I was a little worried when Jennifer Lawrence was cast as Katniss seeing as she had light blonde hair and pale skin, but look what a good Katniss she makes! Now I'm getting very excited to see how the rest of the cast turns out...its going to be so good!!!
Fun Lunch Idea
Isn't this a fun idea? You could add some chicken too to make it a little heartier. I must admit I have no idea where this came from...I saved it for myself before I even had the idea to share it with you, but the blog post I saw it on had a whole mason jar picnic lunch complete with salad, bread, sessert and SANGRIA...yummm.

New Couple Alert
Leighton Meester and Justin Long were spotted holding hands outside La Poubelle in Hollywood while they ate dinner on Sunday. "They were happily willing to talk to fans who approached them," an onlooker says of the duo, who dined for two hours. They stayed at the restaurant past midnight. Reps for the actors didn't immediately comment about their relationship.
Not sure what to think about this...love him and love Blair Waldorf so I guess I'm ok with it.
The Govenator has a Love Child!
SCANDAL!!!
According to the Times, the 25-year marriage hit the rocks earlier this year, when Shriver moved out of the couple's Brentwood mansion after Schwarzenegger confirmed the paternity. The employee had retired in January after 20 years with the family, says the paper.
In a statement to the newspaper, Schwarzenegger, 63, said Monday: "After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry."
He added: "I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time," the statement concluded. "While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not. "
Schwarzenegger also said he financially provided for the child. Shriver's spokesman told PEOPLE the former first lady, 55, had no comment. Schwarzenegger and Shriver have four children together.
How Do You Feel About This?
I love this skirt and this shirt, but I'm not sure I would have put it together myself even though mixing prints is so hot right now...what do y'all think?
Madewell New Arrivals
Madewell just got a ton of new stuff in so I figured I share a few of my faves with you...
I've been trying to steer clear of pink, but this isn't too sweet of a pick so I'm ok with it...also the back is a racer back so that makes the dress a bit more edgy in my mind.
A cardi that cinches at the waist? What's not to love?
Love the print and all the colors...from other pics of this shirt it looks like it might be a little short, but I still think its worth investigating.
This tank also has a racer back and it just looks so comfy to me.
If you have a Madewell near you they are having an denim event this Thursday...all denim is 20% off and the are going to have other sales going on as well...go check it out!
King's of Leon Wedding
Here's a pic from the lead singer of King's of Leon's wedding.
I love that her hair is down and looks so naturally wavy. I also really like her dress and veil.
Of course Caleb looks sexy time...LOVE the dark gray suit (and the beard, but that should be obvi to you)!

Anthropologie Items of the Week
I spoke too soon, Anthro finally posted some new good stuff this morning...
This is the dress I was talking about yesterday...I'm heading over to Anthro right after work to pick it up!
Love the lace detailing on this shirt it looks comfy but also so cute!
I'm loving maxi dresses right now...this one caught my eye because its bright but also because it looks like it has some shape and won't just hang.
Happy Birthday Robert Pattinson!
Blogger has been down all day so I haven't been able to make any posts, and apparently all the post I made yesterday have been removed...not sure if they are ever coming back, but I sure hope the do because I can't even remember what I posted about but I'm sure it was all good stuff.
My first order of business is wishing this sexy man a happy birthday!
I'll also have you know that not only is it Robert pattinson's birthday, its also my father's birthday. Coincident? No, more like fate.
I bet he's prob off kissing K-Stew and celeberating with her, but I've come to terms with that now.

Inspiration
Sometimes while completing my morning blog reading I come across pics that really speak to me even though I never can quite put my finger on why it is.
Normally I don't share 'inspiration' photos, but I like these.
Here's is my guess as to what caught my eye in this one: the color in the scarf, the retro/vintage feel, the feeling of hope that I could find a way for my hair to look cute even when I'm sweating in the sun, the mental pic it stirred up of being at the beach.
This one reminds me of a lazy Saturday morning...I imagine the shirt to be a. her boyfriend's and b. super soft. I bet she's cooking a big delicious breakfast. Her hair is a big crazy mess on the top of her head, but I bet when she turns around she'll look beautiful...yep, this is exactly what my Saturday morning is going to look like this week.
Business In the Front, Party In the Back
I've been struggling trying to find a dress to wear to my brother's wedding...
- Its a daytime wedding at a winery in Sonoma Valley, California so it's not too fancy
- I have been instructed by the bride to wear something in the ivory/nude family which means that it won't be as easy to find another occasion to wear the dress to.
- Every dress I have found that fits the bill is over $300 and if I can't wear it again that seems like such a waste even thought it is a special occasion.
Business in the front...
party in the back!
The color will still fit with the color scheme but its not so light that I couldn't wear it again to a wedding. Its dressy, but not stuffy especially with that cut out in the back...AND its on sale for the low, low price of $125. I'm thinking about ordering it just to see what it looks like in person. My only concern is that it will look too monochromatic on with my coloring...but that is what you get for choosing a neutral color scheme...lame!
What do y'all think of this option? Of course I still like the ivory one from BHLDN, but its more than twice as much and couldn't be worn to another event because it looks way too much like a rehearsal dinner dress for most normal people.

Rachel's Push Present
When Rachel Zoe welcomed son Skyler Morrison seven weeks ago, her husband Rodger Berman wanted to get her a little something special to celebrate. Well, make that a whole lot of something. Zoe’s “push present” was a nearly 10 carat cushion-cut diamond ring designed by jeweler Neil Lane.
“Rodger wanted to surprise Rachel with something romantic — and huge,” says Lane of the sparkler, adorned with smaller diamonds in a platinum setting. “I knew she’s wanted a cushion cut forever. It was their first baby and she’s been working so hard that Rodger wanted to do something very special. Rachel was thrilled and hasn’t taken it off since!”
Ummm, wow.
A New King
There's a new little king in the Followill family.
Kings of Leon guitarist Matthew Followill and wife Johanna Bennett welcomed their first child, son Knox Cameron Patrick Followill, on Friday, April 22, a rep for the band confirms to PEOPLE.
Knox was born in Nashville, Tenn., at 1:02 p.m. and weighed in at 6 lbs., 10 oz.
I love the name Knox, but I'm not a fan of the fact that he has two middle names, pick one and go with it!
Welcome to Splitsville
After a 25-year marriage as one of the nation's leading power couples in Hollywood and politics, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver have split up, they say in a joint statement.
“This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us," they say. "After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion, and prayer, we came to this decision together.
"At this time, we are living apart, while we work on the future of our relationship," they continue. "We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the center of both of our lives."
The Honeymooners
After a week in which the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went back to work (him) and hit the local shops (her), the newlyweds are now doing something more traditional – they've headed off on honeymoon.
On Tuesday, the Palace confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple have headed off on their romantic vacation. It is thought that William, 28, has two weeks leave from his duties with his RAF Search and Rescue squadron, with whom he helped rescue several people in the mountains of Wales.
Sources at the Palace will not cite the newlyweds' destination. A spokesman states, "The couple have asked for their privacy to be respected during their honeymoon."
The royal duo had announced that they were delaying their trip and instead left Buckingham Palace a day after their April 29 wedding for a "mini-moon" at an undisclosed destination in the U.K.
The British tabloids are speculating that they've gone to the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean. Per tradition, the destination was reputedly kept secret from the bride.

Sir Paul is Engaged!
Paul McCartney and his girlfriend of four years, Nancy Shevell, are engaged to be married.
"Nancy and Paul are getting married," a source close to Shevell, 51, a New York businesswoman, first told PEOPLE Friday. "Ring and all – very exciting."
McCartney's rep later confirmed, but would not provide any more details. The Beatles legend, 68, started dating Shevell in the Hamptons during the summer of 2007, and despite their 17-year age difference, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE they were a perfect pair.
"They have the right chemistry," the source said. "They're both cool, chilled out and optimistic."
