The search for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is over – Rooney Mara has nabbed the coveted role of Lisbeth Salander in the Hollywood adaptation of Stieg Larsson's best-selling novel.
Mara, who previously appeared in A Nightmare on Elm Street and will next be seen in The Social Network with Justin Timberlake, will star alongside Daniel Craig in the film set to be released Dec. 21, 2011, Columbia Pictures announced Monday.
